Abstract

A computer system for deleting an archived stream. The computer system includes a computer having non-transitory memory for storing machine instructions that are to be executed by the computer. The machine instructions when executed by the computer implement the following functions: receiving a mode of archived stream deletion; receiving a deletion cutoff date and time; and deleting the archived stream based on the mode of archived stream deletion and the deletion cutoff date and time.

         2 . A computer system for deleting an archived stream and comprising a computer having non-transitory memory for storing machine instructions that are to be executed by the computer, the machine instructions when executed by the computer implement the following functions:
 receiving a mode of archived stream deletion;   receiving a deletion cutoff date and time; and   deleting the archived stream based on the mode of archived stream deletion and the deletion cutoff date and time.   
     
     
         3 . The computer system of  claim 2 , wherein the mode of archived stream deletion is a manual deletion mode or an automatic deletion mode. 
     
     
         4 . The computer system of  claim 3 , wherein the mode of archived stream deletion is the automatic deletion mode and the deleting function includes automatically deleting the archived stream based on the deletion cutoff date and time. 
     
     
         5 . The computer system of  claim 4 , wherein the deleting function includes automatically deleting the archived stream based on it being older than the deletion cutoff date and time. 
     
     
         6 . The computer system of  claim 3 , wherein the mode of archived stream deletion is the manual deletion mode. 
     
     
         7 . The computer system of  claim 2 , wherein the archived stream is a streaming jpeg file. 
     
     
         8 . A method for deleting an archived stream comprising:
 receiving a mode of archived stream deletion;   receiving a deletion cutoff date and time; and   deleting the archived stream based on the mode of archived stream deletion and the deletion cutoff date and time.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the mode of archived stream deletion is a manual deletion mode or an automatic deletion mode. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the mode of archived stream deletion is the automatic deletion mode and the deleting step includes automatically deleting the archived stream based on the deletion cutoff date and time. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 10 , wherein the deleting step includes automatically deleting the archived stream based on it being older than the deletion cutoff date and time. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the mode of archived stream deletion is the manual deletion mode. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the archived stream is a streaming jpeg file. 
     
     
         14 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having computer-readable instructions stored thereon that are configured to be executed by a processor to:
 receiving a mode of archived stream deletion;   receiving a deletion cutoff date and time; and   deleting the archived stream based on the mode of archived stream deletion and the deletion cutoff date and time.   
     
     
         15 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 14 , wherein the mode of archived stream deletion is a manual deletion mode or an automatic deletion mode. 
     
     
         16 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 15 , wherein the mode of archived stream deletion is the automatic deletion mode and the deleting function includes automatically deleting the archived stream based on the deletion cutoff date and time. 
     
     
         17 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 16 , wherein the deleting function includes automatically deleting the archived stream based on it being older than the deletion cutoff date and time. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the mode of archived stream deletion is the manual deletion mode. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 14 , wherein the archived stream is a streaming jpeg file.
