Abstract

[Object] To provide a technology that can mitigate accurately the ghosting problem. [Solving Means] An image display control apparatus according to the present technology includes a control unit. The control unit switches a first mode for reducing a brightness of an image without inverting the brightness of the image fixedly displayed on a specific area of a screen to a second mode for inverting the brightness of the image and reducing the brightness of the image inverted, and controls a display such that the image is displayed on the area of the screen depending on the mode switched.

1 . An image display control apparatus, comprising:
 control circuitry configured to
 control a display to display a first image and a second image for diagnosis, and 
 change a brightness of the first image displayed in an area of the first image on the display. 
   
     
     
         2 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 1 , wherein the second image is at least one of an X-ray image, a computed tomography image, or a magnetic resonance imaging image. 
     
     
         3 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 2 , wherein the first image includes a white background and black characters. 
     
     
         4 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 2 , wherein the first image includes a white background and black lines. 
     
     
         5 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 2 , wherein the control circuitry reduces the brightness of the first image displayed in the area of the first image on the display. 
     
     
         6 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 5 , wherein the control circuitry reduces the brightness of the first image without reducing a brightness of the second image displayed in an area of the second image on the display. 
     
     
         7 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 5 , wherein the control circuitry reduces the brightness of the first image automatically when a mode is selected. 
     
     
         8 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 5 , wherein the second image includes a black background and white lines. 
     
     
         9 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 5 , wherein the control circuitry determines a degree of the brightness of the first image that is to be reduced based on a deterioration degree of a pixel of the display.

The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 9 , wherein the control circuitry determines the degree of the brightness of the first image that is to be reduced based on a first deterioration degree of the first area of the first image on the display or a second deterioration degree of an area of the second image on the display. 
     
     
         11 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 5 , wherein the control circuitry determines a degree of the brightness of the first image that is to be reduced based on visibility for a doctor. 
     
     
         12 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 5 , wherein the area of the first image on the display is around an area of the second image on the display. 
     
     
         13 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 5 , wherein the first image is a fixedly displayed image. 
     
     
         14 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 5 , wherein the first image is a menu bar image or a tool bar image. 
     
     
         15 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 10 , wherein
 the control circuitry is configured to   reduce the brightness of the first image automatically when a mode is selected,   calculate a difference between the first deterioration degree and the second deterioration degree, and   select the mode when the difference exceeds a threshold value.   
     
     
         16 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 2 , wherein the diagnosis is a mammography diagnosis. 
     
     
         17 . The image display control apparatus according to the  claim 5 , wherein the control circuitry controls the display to display the first image and the second image in a full screen mode. 
     
     
         18 . A method of controlling brightness of a display, comprising:
 controlling the display to display a first image and a second image for diagnosis, and   changing the brightness of the first image displayed in an area of the first image on the display.   
     
     
         19 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a program which when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform a method of controlling brightness of a display, the method comprising:
 controlling the display to display a first image and a second image for diagnosis, and   changing the brightness of the first image displayed in an area of the first image on the display.
