Abstract

A garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening includes a primary drain body and a secondary drain body. The primary drain body and the secondary drain body are concentrically positioned of each other. The primary drain body includes a strainer basket and a plurality of drain holes. The secondary drain body comprises a sleeve body, a cap, a plurality of lateral drain holes, and a plurality of top drain holes. The plurality of drain holes traverses through the strainer basket. The sleeve body is concentrically positioned within the strainer basket and terminally connected to a base of the strainer basket. The plurality of lateral drain holes traverses through the sleeve body. The cap is concentrically positioned atop the strainer basket and terminally connected to the sleeve body, opposite of the base. The plurality of top drain holes traverses through the cap.

Claims

What is claimed is:

         1 . A garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening comprises:
 a primary drain body; a secondary drain body; the primary drain body comprises a strainer basket, a flange, and a plurality of drain holes; the secondary drain body comprises a sleeve body, a cap, a plurality of lateral drain holes, and a plurality of top drain holes; the flange and the strainer basket being concentrically positioned with each other; the flange being perimetrically connected around a lateral wall of the strainer basket; the plurality of drain holes traversing through the strainer basket; the sleeve body being concentrically positioned within the strainer basket; the sleeve body being terminally connected to a base of the strainer basket; the plurality of lateral drain holes traversing through the sleeve body; the cap being concentrically positioned to the sleeve body; the cap being positioned atop the flange; the cap being terminally connected to the sleeve body, opposite of the base; and the plurality of top drain holes traversing through the cap.

         2 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
 the base and the flange being oppositely positioned of each other along the lateral wall;
 the lateral wall perimetrically connected around the base;
 each of the plurality of drain holes traversing through the lateral wall; and
 each of the plurality of drain holes traversing through the base.

         3 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
 the strainer basket further comprises a first drain opening and a second drain opening;
 the first drain opening being delineated by the lateral wall and the flange;
 the second drain opening traversing through the base; and
 the second drain opening being concentrically positioned to the base.

         4 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
 the sleeve body comprises a first edge, a second edge, and an elongated body;
 the first edge and the second edge being oppositely positioned of each other along the elongated body;
 the first edge being perimetrically connected to the cap;
 the second edge being concentrically positioned around a second drain opening of the strainer basket; and
 the second edge being perimetrically connected to the base.

         5 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 4 , wherein a cap-diameter of the cap is larger than a sleeve-diameter of the elongated body.

         6 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 4 , wherein a cap-diameter of the cap is smaller than a basket-diameter of the strainer basket.

         7 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the plurality of lateral drain holes traverses through an elongated body of the sleeve body.

         8 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the sleeve body is a rigid body.

         9 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
 the plurality of lateral drain holes comprises at least one ring of clog-free holes and at least one ring of lower-drain holes;
 the at least one ring of lower-drain holes traversing through an elongated body of the sleeve body;
 the at least one ring of lower-drain holes being positioning in between the base and the flange;
 the at least one ring of clog-free holes traversing through the elongated body of the sleeve body; and
 the at least one ring of clog-free holes being positioning in between the cap and the flange.

         10 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
 the cap comprises a cap body and a grip-enhancing layer;
 the cap body being enclosed by the grip-enhancing layer;
 the plurality of top drain holes traversing through the grip-enhancing layer and the cap body; and
 the plurality of top drain holes being oriented normal to the base.

         11 . The garbage straining device for a kitchen sink opening as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the plurality of top drain holes is internally aligned within the sleeve body.
