Abstract

A pillow comprised of an outer shell 10 having an upper 3 and a lower 4 surface, each surface including a sleep surface 1 ; and an inner body core 20 having three chambers 9, 11, 12 made of four fabric layers 13, 14 ; wherein the inner body core 20 is enclosed inside the outer shell 10 to provide a pillow that is comfortable and healthy.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A pillow comprised of:
 an outer shell  10  having an upper surface  3  and a lower surface  4 ;   at least one multi-layered sleep surface  1  on either said upper surface  3  or said lower surface  4 ; and   an inner body core  20  having three chambers  9 ,  11 ,  12  made of four fabric layers  13 ,  14 ;   wherein said inner body core  20  is enclosed inside said outer shell  10  to provide a pillow that is comfortable and healthy.   
     
     
         2 . The pillow according to  claim 1 , wherein said multi-layered sleep surface  1  is on both said upper surface  3  and said lower surface  4 . 
     
     
         3 . The pillow according to  claim 2 , wherein said multi-layered sleep surface  1  covers between 60 to 100% of said upper surface  3  and said lower surface  4 . 
     
     
         4 . The pillow according to  claim 1 , wherein said sleep surface  1  is at least three layers comprising an air/liquid barrier fabric layer  7 , an airflow enhancement layer  6  and a moisture management fabric layer  5 . 
     
     
         5 . The pillow according to  claim 4 , wherein said moisture management fabric layer  5  is the top closest to the user. 
     
     
         6 . The pillow according to  claim 4 , wherein said air/liquid barrier fabric layer  7  is the bottom layer and ensures that reduced levels of air and moisture travel between the user and said inner body core of the pillow. 
     
     
         7 . The pillow according to  claim 4 , wherein said airflow enhancement layer  6  is the middle layer and limits heat transfer between the user and the pillow reducing overheating. 
     
     
         8 . The pillow according to  claim 4 , wherein said sleep surface  1  may include a fourth smoothing layer  8  either above and/or below the middle airflow enhancement layer  6 . 
     
     
         9 . The pillow according to  claim 1 , wherein said outer shell  10  further comprises a closing device  15  for easy removal and washing of the outer shell. 
     
     
         10 . The pillow according to  claim 1 , wherein said outer shell  10  further comprises side vents  2  to further facilitate airflow. 
     
     
         11 . The pillow according to  claim 1 , wherein said inner body core chambers  9 ,  11 ,  12  are filled with materials having an elastic consistency. 
     
     
         12 . The pillow according to  claim 11 , wherein said materials are selected from the group consisting of synthetic fibers, natural down or other soft material, latex, rubber, foam or other elastic material. 
     
     
         13 . The pillow according to  claim 1 , wherein said three chambers are an upper chamber  9 , a middle chamber  12  and a lower chamber  11 . 
     
     
         14 . The pillow according to  claim 13 , wherein said upper chamber  9  and lower chamber  11  are the same size and said middle chamber  12  is smaller and centered within said upper  9  and lower  11  chambers. 
     
     
         15 . The pillow according to  claim 13 , wherein said upper chamber  9  and said lower chamber  11  are filled with the same material. 
     
     
         16 . The pillow according to  claim 13 , wherein said upper chamber  9  and said lower chamber  11  are filled with synthetic fibers or natural down or other soft material. 
     
     
         17 . The pillow according to  claim 13 , wherein said middle chamber  12  is filled with latex, rubber, foam or other elastic material. 
     
     
         18 . The pillow according to  claim 1 , wherein said inner body core top and bottom fabric layers  13  comprises an outer material that is a particle barrier fabric. 
     
     
         19 . The pillow according to  claim 1 , wherein said outer shell  10  and said inner body core  20  in combination are soft, supportive, pure and helps to reduce moisture and temperature issues and promote airflow. 
     
     
         20 . The pillow according to  claim 1 , wherein said outer shell  10  is washable.
