Method and system for hunger control management using cyclical stimulation of predetermined biologically active hunger control points
Abstract
A method for reducing and maintaining an individual's weight through by stimulation of predetermined biologically active hunger control points or areas behind each ear by applying pressure to the point stimulation elements (e.g., spherule), in accordance with a defined cyclical treatment plan. A supplemental weight loss procedure, with controlled feeding, behavioral modification, controlled physical activity, and nutritional supplements is followed when the individual does not reach the goals, which are set based on the collected personal information. A weight maintenance cycle follows treatment cycles, where the point stimulation elements are kept in skin contact with multiple biologically active maintenance areas for at least a portion of the multi-day maintenance cycle.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of applying stimulation through a plurality of removable non-electric point stimulation element is done at the rate of between about one point stimulation element movement every two seconds to two point stimulation elements movements per second.
13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of non-electric point stimulation elements are removably attached to the skin surface and maintain contact with the skin surface at least during a portion of at least one multi-day cycle.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of non-electric point stimulation elements are attached to the skin surface and maintain contact with the skin surface for the full duration of at least one multi-day cycle.
15 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the steps of:
prior to said step (a), collecting personal information, including a first target weight loss amount; when said first target weight loss amount is lost by the individual after a completion of any multi-day cycle, proceeding to a next multi-day cycle, and when said first target weight loss amount is not lost by the individual after a completion of any multi-day cycle, prior to proceeding to a next multi-day cycle, performing a supplemental biologically active point stimulation process until said first target weight loss amount is lost by the individual.
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the step of collecting personal information includes collecting personal information that includes at least one item of the following group of information items for the individual: current weight, current height, body fat percentage, body mass index, personal desired target weight, medical conditions, dietary restrictions and requirements, physical condition, psychological condition, allergies, measurements of circumference of body parts of the individuals comprising measurements of circumference of legs, arms, torso, chest and neck, blood pressure, and cholesterol level; and then
determining or modifying the first target weight loss amount at least partially based on the collected personal information from the individual.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein said at least one supplemental weight loss procedure is selected from the group of controlled feeding, behavioral modification, controlled physical activity, and consumption of nutritional supplements in accordance with a nutritional supplement protocol.
18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein said controlled feeding comprises controlling a quantity, type and time of food consumption by the individual following any stimulation application cycle;
wherein said behavioral modification comprises providing positive reinforcement to the individual based on weight lost by the individual; wherein the controlled physical activity comprises selecting or restricting the type or duration of exercises by the individual; and wherein said consumption of nutritional supplements comprises consuming, by the individual, of vitamins selected based at least partially based on the collected personal information.
19 . A method for reducing and maintaining individual's weight through hunger control, comprising the steps of:
(a) attaching a plurality of non-electric point stimulation elements in contact with skin surfaces behind each ear of a person at a predetermined biological active area that includes multiple biologically active points, positioned proximal to and behind each ear, wherein the attachment position of each point stimulation element is selected to be at a mirror symmetrical location relative to a medical sagittal plane of a person's skull; (b) applying stimulation through the removable non-electric point stimulation element in contact with the respective skin surface point at a predetermined cyclical schedule during at least one multi-day weight reduction cycle; (c) determining that a target weight loss amount has been met after the at least one multi-day weight reduction cycle; and (d) conducting at least one multi-day maintenance cycle, wherein at least one maintenance element is kept in skin contact with at least one biologically active maintenance area that includes at least one biologically active point for at least a portion of a predetermined period of time of the maintenance cycle.
