Abstract
A three-piece bed skirt comprising two side panels and a front panel is disclosed. The front panel may include two corner foot flaps located at opposing ends of the front panel. The front panel, two side panels, and two corner foot flaps are capable of being interconnected and interlocked at their respective perimeters by hook and loop fasteners. These same fasteners can be used to secure the front panel, two side panels, and two corner foot flaps to the perimeter of an underlying box spring.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A system for securing a bed skirt to a box spring, the system comprising:
a first lower adhesive material attached to a top surface of the box spring; a first bed skirt panel having a top side and an underside, said underside of the first bed skirt panel having an upper adhesive material disposed thereon to correspondingly attach and secure to said first lower adhesive material attached to the box spring, said top side of the first bed skirt panel having a lower adhesive material disposed thereon, wherein the upper adhesive material of the underside of the first bed skirt panel is secured to said first lower adhesive material attached to the box spring and wherein said lower adhesive material disposed on the top side of the first bed skirt panel is in proximity to the front side of the box spring when the upper adhesive material of the underside of the first bed skirt panel is secured to said first lower adhesive material attached to the box spring; a second lower adhesive material attached to a top surface of the box spring; and a second bed skirt panel having a top side and an underside, said underside of the second bed skirt panel having at least first and second upper adhesive materials disposed thereon to correspondingly attach and secure to said second lower adhesive material attached to the box spring and to said lower adhesive material disposed on the top side of the first bed skirt panel.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said second bed skirt panel has two corner foot flaps attached to opposing ends of the second bed skirt panel.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein a length of at least one of the corner foot flaps is located below an upper perimeter of said at least one corner foot flap and is capable of being drawn away from the underside of said second bed skirt panel.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the following comprises a hook and loop fastener as an adhesive material:
the first lower adhesive material attached to a top surface of the box spring; the upper adhesive material disposed on the underside of the first bed skirt panel; the lower adhesive material disposed on the top side of the first bed skirt panel; the second lower adhesive material attached to a top surface of the box spring; the first upper adhesive material disposed on the underside of the second bed skirt panel; or the second upper adhesive material disposed on the underside of the second bed skirt panel.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the following comprises non-woven polypropylene material as an adhesive material:
the first lower adhesive material attached to a top surface of the box spring; the upper adhesive material disposed on the underside of the first bed skirt panel; the lower adhesive material disposed on the top side of the first bed skirt panel; the second lower adhesive material attached to a top surface of the box spring; the first upper adhesive material disposed on the underside of the second bed skirt panel; or the second upper adhesive material disposed on the underside of the second bed skirt panel.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said lower adhesive material of the top side of the first bed skirt panel is an extension of the upper adhesive material of the first bed skirt panel and is formed by wrapping an extra length of the upper adhesive material of the first bed skirt panel from the underside of the first bed skirt panel around a side edge of the first bed skirt panel.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said first lower adhesive material attached to a top surface of the box spring has an elongated shape and extends along a first upper edge of the box spring.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said second lower adhesive material attached to a top surface of the box spring has an elongated shape and extends along a second upper edge of the box spring.
9 . A system for securing a bed skirt to a box spring, the system comprising: a first elongated L-shaped flange having a top member that is connected to and substantially perpendicular to a lateral member, the first L-shaped flange fittable over an upper side edge of the box spring;
a first lower adhesive material attached to said top member of the first flange; a first bed skirt panel having a top side and an underside, said underside having an upper adhesive material disposed thereon to correspondingly attach and secure to said first lower adhesive material attached along a portion, of said top member of said first flange; said top side of the first bed skirt having a lower adhesive material disposed thereon,
wherein, the upper adhesive material of the underside of the first bed skirt panel is secured to said first lower adhesive material attached to said top member of the first flange and wherein said lower adhesive material disposed on the top side of the first bed skirt pane is in proximity to the front side of the box spring when the upper adhesive material of the underside of the first bed skirt panel is secured to said first lower adhesive material attached to said top member of the first flange;
a plurality of spaced apart holes formed in said top member of said first flange; a plurality of first securing device, extending through said plurality of said spaced apart holes formed in said top her of said first flange, where n said plurality of first securing devices secure said first lower adhesive material to said top member of said first flange; a plurality of spaced apart holes formed in said lateral member of said first flange; a plurality of second securing devices provided through said plurality of said spaced apart holes formed in said lateral member of said first flange, wherein said plurality of second securing devices secure said lateral member of said first flange to said box spring; a second elongated L-shaped flange having a top member that is connected to and substantially perpendicular to a lateral member, the second L-shaped flange fittable over an upper front edge of the box spring; a second lower adhesive material attached to said top member of the second L-shaped flange; a second bed skirt panel having a top side and an underside, said underside having at least first and a second upper adhesive materials disposed thereon to correspondingly attach and secure to said second lower adhesive material attached to said top member of the second L-shaped flange and to said lower adhesive material of the top side of the first bed skirt panel; a plurality of spaced apart holes formed in said top member of said second flange; a plurality of first securing devices extending through said plurality of said spaced apart holes formed in said top member of said second flange, wherein said plurality of first securing devices secure said first lower adhesive material to said top member of said second flange; a plurality of spaced apart holes formed said lateral member of said second flange; and a plurality of second securing devices provided through said plurality of said spaced apart holes formed in said lateral member of said second flange, wherein said plurality of second securing devices secure said lateral member of said second flange to said box spring.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein said second bed skirt panel has two corner foot flaps attached to opposing ends of the second bed skirt panel.
