Enterprise resource tracking of knowledge

Abstract

The claimed subject matter provides a system and/or a method that facilitates utilizing data within a network including numerous data communications. An interface that can receive data associated with a data communication within a network. An enterprise resource track (ERT) component that can generate context associated with the data communication and at least one resource to enable a second data communication to be efficiently directed to the at least one resource based on the generated context.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method comprising:
 receiving, with a computer, a data communication;   analyzing, with the computer, the data communication to identify a topic of the data communication;   comparing, with the computer, the topic of the data communication with a plurality of stored topics, each stored topic of the plurality of stored topics being associated with a resource from a plurality of resources;   selecting, with the computer, a target resource for the data communication based on the comparison of the topic of the data communication with the plurality of stored topics; and   directing, with the computer, the data communication to the target resource.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the data communication is an audio communication. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the data communication is a video communication. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the data communication is at least one of an email and an instant message. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the resource includes at least one of a server, an email address, an Internet protocol (IP) address, a website, and a database. 
     
     
         6 . A computing system comprising:
 a computer-readable storage medium storing computer-executable instructions; and   a processor configured to execute the computer-executable instructions, which, when executed by the processor, control the computing system to:
 receive a data communication; 
 analyze the data communication to identify a topic of the data communication; 
 compare the topic of the data communication with a plurality of stored topics, each stored topic of the plurality of stored topics being associated with a resource from a plurality of resources; 
 select a target resource for the data communication based on the comparison of the topic of the data communication with the plurality of stored topics; and 
 direct the data communication to the target resource. 
   
     
     
         7 . The computing system of  claim 6  wherein the data communication is an audio communication. 
     
     
         8 . The computing system method of  claim 6  wherein the data communication is a video communication. 
     
     
         9 . The computing system of  claim 6  wherein the data communication is at least one of an email and an instant message. 
     
     
         10 . The computing system of  claim 6 , wherein the resource includes at least one of a server, an email address, an Internet protocol (IP) address, a website, and a database.
