Abstract
A golf chipping and putting training device supports a bucket at an angle for a golfer to practice chipping golf balls. The device includes a base support assembly configured to adjustably support the bucket at a selected angle. The device has a frontal face with a lower opening that is designed to simulate a true 4¼ inch green cup hole. A target assembly presents a target in the bucket opening. Depending on the clip mount, the flag is either static mounted or may act as a signal flag that is operable in response to a golf ball striking the target.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A golf training device, comprising:
a front plate having a first arcuate slot configured to receive an outer sidewall of a bucket; and at least one support arm attached to and extending from the front plate, the support arm selectively positionable between a stowed condition and an open bucket supporting position wherein the front plate is positioned at an angle relative to a ground surface.
2 . The golf training device of claim 1 , wherein the base assembly further comprises:
an angle adjustment leg adjustably attached to the front plate, wherein extension of the angle adjustment leg decreases the angle of the front plate relative to the ground surface and retraction of the angle adjustment leg increases the angle of the front plate relative to the ground surface.
3 . The golf training device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one support arm includes a first support arm pivotally attached to a left lateral side of the front plate via a first pivot pin and a second support arm pivotally attached to a right lateral side of the front plate via a second pivot pin.
4 . The golf training device of claim 3 , wherein the first and the second pivot pins are removable.
5 . The golf training device of claim 2 , wherein the front plate further comprises a second arcuate slot defined along a lower edge surface of the front plate, wherein the second arcuate slot defines a putting target between the front plate and the ground surface.
6 . The golf training device of claim 5 , further comprising a fastener adapted to secure the front plate to the sidewall of the bucket.
7 . A golf training device, comprising:
a front plate having a first arcuate slot defined in an upper edge thereof, the first arcuate slot configured to receive a sidewall of a cylindrical bucket; and a support arm removably attached to a lateral side of the front plate via a pin, the support arm adapted to orient the front plate at an angle relative to a ground surface.
8 . The golf training device of claim 7 , further comprising:
an extensible angle adjustment leg adjustably attached to the front plate on opposed ends of an second arcuate slot defined in a bottom edge of the front plate, the second arcuate slot and the adjustment legs defining an putting target between the front plate and the ground surface.
9 . The golf training device of claim 8 , wherein the support arm is pivotally attached to a side portion of the front plate, operable between an extended supporting position and a folded stowed position.
10 . The golf training device of claim 7 , further comprising:
a target assembly configured to be removably attached to a lip of the bucket via an attachment clip, the target assembly carrying a target that is configured to be positioned at a central portion of a bucket opening.
11 . The golf training device of claim 10 , further comprising:
a trip mechanism operable to move the signal flag responsive to a golf ball striking the target.
12 . A golf training device, comprising:
a front plate having a first arcuate slot defined in an upper edge thereof, the first arcuate slot configured to receive a sidewall of a cylindrical bucket; and a support arm coupled to the front plate via a pin, the support arm adapted to orient the front plate at an angle relative to a ground surface; and a second arcuate slot defined along a lower edge surface of the front plate, wherein the second arcuate slot defines a putting target between the front plate and the ground surface.
13 . The golf training device of claim 12 , wherein the base assembly further comprises:
an angle adjustment leg adjustably attached to the front plate, wherein extension of the angle adjustment leg decreases the angle of the front plate relative to the ground surface and retraction of the angle adjustment leg increases the angle of the front plate relative to the ground surface.
14 . The golf training device of claim 12 , wherein the at least one support arm includes a first support arm pivotally attached to a left lateral side of the front plate via a first pivot pin and a second support arm pivotally attached to a right lateral side of the front plate via a second pivot pin.
15 . The golf training device of claim 14 , wherein the first and the second pivot pins are removable.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
