Abstract
The systems may include receiving a device identifier to create a received device identifier, the received device identifier being associated with a personal POS terminal on a device associated with a consumer; matching a stored device identifier with the received device identifier; activating the personal POS terminal on the device associated with the stored device identifier; and/or receiving a payment token associated with a transaction account associated with the consumer for a transaction.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method, comprising:
receiving, by a processor, a device identifier to create a received device identifier, the received device identifier being associated with a personal POS terminal on a device associated with a consumer; matching, by the processor, a stored device identifier with the received device identifier; activating, by the processor, the personal POS terminal on the device associated with the stored device identifier; and receiving, by the processor and via the personal POS terminal, a payment token associated with a transaction account associated with the consumer for a transaction.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the device identifier is requested from the consumer.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the consumer enters a phone number as the device identifier into a virtual terminal system.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the virtual terminal system is integrated into an online store associated with a merchant.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the personal POS terminal generates the device identifier and sends the device identifier to the processor.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising instructing, by the processor, the personal POS terminal on the device to display transaction details for the transaction in response to the activating the personal POS terminal on the device.
7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, by the processor, an action response, wherein the action response includes the consumer accepting or rejecting the transaction in response to the activating the personal POS terminal.
8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising requesting, by the processor, a payment from the transaction account.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the payment token is generated at least one of by a payment instrument associated with the consumer physically being near or contacting the device, or from an electronic wallet in communication with the personal POS terminal.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the personal POS terminal is downloaded to the device.
11 . A system comprising:
a processor; and a tangible, non-transitory memory configured to communicate with the processor, the tangible, non-transitory memory having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
receiving, by a processor, a device identifier to create a received device identifier, the received device identifier being associated with a personal POS terminal on a device associated with a consumer;
matching, by the processor, a stored device identifier with the received device identifier;
activating, by the processor, the personal POS terminal on the device associated with the stored device identifier; and
receiving, by the processor and via the personal POS terminal, a payment token associated with a transaction account associated with the consumer for a transaction.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the device identifier is requested from the consumer.
13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the consumer enters a phone number as the device identifier into a virtual terminal system.
14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the virtual terminal system is integrated into an online store associated with a merchant.
15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the personal POS terminal generates the device identifier and sends the device identifier to the processor.
16 . The system of claim 11 , further comprising instructing, by the processor, the personal POS terminal on the device to display transaction details for the transaction in response to the activating the personal POS terminal on the device.
17 . The system of claim 11 , further comprising receiving, by the processor, an action response, wherein the action response includes the consumer accepting or rejecting the transaction in response to the activating the personal POS terminal.
18 . The system of claim 11 , further comprising requesting, by the processor, a payment from the transaction account.
19 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the payment token is generated at least one of by a payment instrument associated with the consumer physically being near or contacting the device, or from an electronic wallet in communication with the personal POS terminal.
20 . An article of manufacture including a non-transitory, tangible computer readable memory having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
receiving, by the processor, a device identifier to create a received device identifier, the received device identifier being associated with a device associated with a consumer; matching, by the processor, a stored device identifier with the received device identifier; activating, by the processor, a personal POS terminal on the device associated with the stored device identifier; and receiving, by the processor and via the personal POS terminal, a payment token associated with a transaction account associated with the consumer for a transaction.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
