Abstract
A connection member for connecting an exhaust manifold and an exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine, includes a flange portion, a boss portion and an attachment portion. The flange portion has a plate shape with an opening configured to be fixed to the exhaust pipe in a state where the opening communicates with the exhaust pipe. The boss portion is provided to bulge from the flange portion on an outside of the opening in a radial direction of the opening, is configured so that a sensor configured to detect components of the exhaust is attached to the boss portion, and is configured to be fixed to a portion of an outer circumferential surface of the exhaust pipe. The attachment portion protrudes from the flange portion and is configured so that a protection member which covers the exhaust pipe is attached to the attachment portion.

1 . A connection member for connecting an exhaust manifold and an exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine to each other, comprising:
a flange portion which has a plate shape with an opening formed therein and configured to be fixed to the exhaust pipe in a state where the opening communicates with the exhaust pipe; a boss portion which is provided to bulge from the flange portion on an outside of the opening in a radial direction of the opening, is configured so that a sensor configured to detect components of the exhaust is attached to the boss portion, and is configured to be fixed to a portion of an outer circumferential surface of the exhaust pipe; and an attachment portion which protrudes from the flange portion and is configured so that a protection member which covers the exhaust pipe is attached to the attachment portion.
2 . The connection member according to claim 1 ,
wherein the flange portion has
a plurality of fastening portions which are provided on an outside of the opening in the radial direction and are configured to be fastened and fixed to the exhaust manifold, and
a recessed portion which is recessed to a side of the opening at an outer edge portion between the plurality of fastening portions, and
wherein the boss portion, the fastening portion, and the recessed portion are provided at positions which deviate from each other in a circumferential direction of the opening.
3 . The connection member according to claim 2 ,
wherein the attachment portion protrudes from the outer edge portion of the recessed portion to an outside in the radial direction.
4 . The connection member according to claim 3 ,
wherein the recessed portion includes
a first recessed portion from which the attachment portion protrudes, and
a second recessed portion which is formed to have a recessed amount larger than that of the first recessed portion and which is provided to be adjacent to a downstream end of the exhaust pipe.
5 . The connection member according to claim 1 ,
wherein the attachment portion has a flat welding surface configured so that a bracket for attaching the protection member is welded to the flat welding surface.
6 . The connection member according to claim 2 ,
wherein the attachment portion has a flat welding surface configured so that a bracket for attaching the protection member is welded to the flat welding surface.
7 . The connection member according to claim 3 ,
wherein the attachment portion has a flat welding surface configured so that a bracket for attaching the protection member is welded to the flat welding surface.
8 . The connection member according to claim 4 ,
