Claims

Abstract

A hygroscopic core-sheath composite fiber includes: a polyetheresteramide copolymer as a core polymer; and a polyamide as a sheath polymer, and has a degree of shrinkage with boiling water of 6-11%. The core-sheath composite fiber has high hygroscopicity and laundering durability of the hygroscopicity which makes the fiber withstand practical use, and is capable of attaining a soft feeling.

         6 . A hygroscopic core-sheath composite fiber comprising: a polyetheresteramide copolymer as a core polymer; and a polyamide as a sheath polymer, the fiber having a degree of shrinkage with boiling water of 6-11%. 
     
     
         7 . The hygroscopic core-sheath composite fiber according to  claim 6 , having an elongation of 60-90%. 
     
     
         8 . A false-twist textured yarn comprising the hygroscopic core-sheath composite fiber according to  claim 6 . 
     
     
         9 . A fabric at least a part of which comprises the hygroscopic core-sheath composite fiber according to  claim 6 . 
     
     
         10 . A process of producing the hygroscopic core-sheath composite fiber according to  claim 6 , comprising: ejecting a filament from a spinneret; cooling and solidifying the ejected filament with a cooling wind; thereafter applying an aqueous solution (oil emulsion) twice to the filament; and then winding up the filament,
 wherein a time gap between the first-stage application and the second-stage application is 20 msec or longer.
