Aspects include receiving, by a processing unit of the personal electronic device, an image from a camera of the personal electronic device. Aspects also include storing, by the processing unit, the image in a first location in a memory of the personal electronic device. Aspects further include storing, by the processing unit, an indication of an expiration time for the image in the memory of the personal electronic device.
