Abstract

A communication control method, user terminal, and processor according to embodiments include a base station transmitting to a user terminal supporting direct communication in which a data path does not go through a network, a measurement instruction message for a measurement of a frequency region available for the direct communication. The frequency region includes a plurality of subchannels, each of which includes a plurality of resource blocks, and the measurement instruction message indicates a period for periodically transmitting a measurement result message. The user terminal measures a received signal intensity for each of the plurality of subchannels and transmits to the base station the measurement result message according to the period. The measurement result message includes a statistic based on a received signal intensity for each of the plurality of subchannels.

1 . A communication control method comprising:
 transmitting from a base station to a user terminal supporting direct communication in which a data path does not go through a network, a measurement instruction message for a measurement of a frequency region available for the direct communication, wherein the frequency region includes a plurality of subchannels, each of the plurality of subchannels including a plurality of resource blocks, and the measurement instruction message indicates a period for periodically transmitting a measurement result message;   measuring, by the user terminal, a received signal intensity for each of the plurality of subchannels; and   transmitting from the user terminal to the base station, the measurement result message according to the period, wherein   the measurement result message includes a statistic based on a received signal intensity for each of the plurality of subchannels.   
     
     
         2 . A user terminal that supports direct communication in which a data path does not go through a network, the user terminal comprising:
 a receiver configured to receive from a base station, a measurement instruction message for a measurement of a frequency region available for the direct communication, wherein the frequency region includes a plurality of subchannels, each of the plurality of subchannels including a plurality of resource blocks, and the measurement instruction message indicates a period for periodically transmitting a measurement result message,   a controller configured to measure a received signal intensity for each of the plurality of subchannels, and   a transmitter configured to transmit the measurement result message according to the period, wherein   the measurement result message includes a statistic based on the received signal intensity for each of the plurality of subchannels.   
     
     
         3 . A processor communicatively coupled to memory containing instructions, for controlling a user terminal supporting direct communication in which a data path does not go through a network, wherein the processor executes the instructions to perform the following processes of:
 receiving from a base station, a measurement instruction message for a measurement of a frequency region available for the direct communication, wherein the frequency region includes a plurality of subchannels, each of the plurality of subchannels including a plurality of resource blocks, and the measurement instruction message indicates a period for periodically transmitting a measurement result message;   measuring a received signal intensity for each of the plurality of subchannels; and   transmitting the measurement result message according to the period, wherein   the measurement result message includes a statistic based on the received signal intensity for each of the plurality of subchannels.
