Abstract

A multilayer display apparatus for outputting a single integrated image includes a plurality of layer displays to represent an image, and an image control unit to control a single integrated image to be output through overlapping images represented by the plurality of layer displays.

         2 . A multilayer display apparatus, the apparatus comprising:
 a plurality of layer displays each include a sub-pixel array,   wherein a color arrangement of sub-pixels in the sub-pixel array of one of the plurality of layer displays is different from a color arrangement of sub-pixels in the sub-pixel array of other of the plurality of layer displays such that a color of the sub-Pixel of the one of the plurality of layer displays is different from a color of the sub-pixel of an immediate next one of the plurality of layer displays at a corresponding sub-pixel position.   
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the color of the sub-pixel of the one of the plurality of layer displays overlaps the color of the sub-pixel of the next one of the plurality of layer displays in a single sub-pixel area,
 a single integrated image is provided by a combination of images of the sub-pixels of the plurality of layer displays at the corresponding sub-pixel position.   
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of layer displays form the single integrated image based on at least one of non-overlapping pixel arrays in the plurality of layer displays and non-overlapping sub-pixel arrays in the plurality of layer displays. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the multilayer display apparatus is further configured to output an enlarged image using an independent image of each of the plurality of layer displays as a piece corresponding to a portion of the enlarged image. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the sub-pixels are disposed in the vertical array, the plurality of layer displays includes a sub-pixel array in which a plurality of sub-pixels in different colors is disposed in an alternating manner. 
     
     
         7 . A multilayer display apparatus, the apparatus comprising:
 a plurality of layer displays, wherein each of the layer displays representing an image independently; and   an image control unit configured to control the image represented by the each of the layer displays when the layer displays are overlapped each other;   wherein the plurality of layer displays comprise at least three layer displays,   wherein at least two layer displays is a transparent display so that each of the layer displays transmits an image produced by another layer display.   
     
     
         8 . The apparatus of  claim 7 , wherein the multilayer display apparatus is further configured to output an enlarged image using an independent image of each of the plurality of layer displays as a piece corresponding to a portion of the enlarged image.
