Abstract
The present invention discloses an industrial high speed micro drill that is made to access remote and inaccessible locations in order to blend, grind, polish and cut materials and parts as determined by visual inspection powered via a pneumatic power source. The high speed drill is deployed by a controlled, articulating guide tube that acts in a multidirectional fashion to direct the action of the assemblage and allow for discrete manipulation of the pneumatically powered drill while harboring a channel and pneumatic power source carrying rubber tubing.

1 . An industrial high speed micro drill assemblage comprising:
a drill bit head assembly capable of receiving at least one drill bit attachment; a drill bit shank that communicates distally with said drill head assembly and proximally with an articulating guide tube and within contained rubber tubing; said articulating guide tube capable of multi-directional manipulation which connects to the drill head shank distally and an articulation control unit proximally; said rubber tubing running the length of said articulating tube that is made to harbor pneumatic fluid and attaches the pneumatic power source to the drill bit head; and a pneumatic power source.
2 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein the drill bit head assembly is made to receive a drill head attachment that is in a fixed forward-facing position.
3 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein the drill bit head assembly is made to receive a drill head attachment that is at a fixed 90-degree position.
4 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein the drill bit head assemblage is rotatable and adjustable allowing 360 degree movement via a ball and socket or other similar means attached between the drill bit head and drill bit shank.
5 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein the drill bit shank encompasses, either distally between the drill bit head and drill bit shank, or proximally to the articulating tube, an adjustable joint that allows for adjustment in various degrees and angles up to an including a 360 degree turn radius.
6 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein the drill bit shank exhibits an extendable capability via a telescoping configuration where tubes of ever decreasing diameter are encompassed within one another in a projecting and retracting manner to allow for movement compensating for varying depths.
7 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein said rotation and multidirectional movement via a ball and socket type joint and projecting telescope may be further controlled via a separate articulation control unit.
8 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein the articulating guide tube is controlled and directed manually.
9 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein the articulating guide tube is controlled and manipulated electronically.
10 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein the pneumatic power source is a gas.
11 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein the pneumatic power source is a fluid.
12 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein various drill bit attachments may be utilized as is determined by the method, degree and quality of action that is required for cutting, blending drilling, polishing or further modification of specific materials and mechanical parts.
13 . The assemblage of claim 1 , that is pneumatically powered to operate in the range of 50,000 to 300,000 RPM.
14 . An industrial high speed micro drill assemblage method of use comprising:
a drill bit head assembly capable of receiving at least one drill bit attachment; a drill bit shank that communicates distally with said drill head assembly and proximally with an articulating guide tube and within contained rubber tubing; said articulating guide tube capable of multi-directional manipulation which connects to the drill head shank distally and an articulation control unit proximally; said rubber tubing running the length of said articulating tube that is made to harbor pneumatic fluid; a pneumatic power source; and a borescope for use in directed guidance, maneuvering, placement and adjustment of the assemblage.

The assemblage of claim 10 , wherein a borescope is used independently to guide the borescope and scout ahead of the assemblage, determine the optimum pathway for assemblage insertion, and to determine various and changing blending, grinding, polishing and cutting angles and degrees of designated materials and parts.
16 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein a borescope runs internally, in tandem with and along-side said rubber tubing in order to guide, place, maneuver, and adjust the assemblage.
17 . The assemblage of claim 10 , wherein a borescope is attached externally, in tandem and running along-side the assemblage, in order to guide, place, maneuver, and adjust the assemblage
18 . The assemblage of claim 1 , wherein a combination of dependent and independent borescopes are used.
