Abstract

A head for polishing ceramic manufactured articles or natural stones includes a main body and at least one work tool associated with the body for polishing ceramic manufactured articles or natural stones, and an air cooler for the tool.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A head for polishing ceramic manufactured articles or natural stones comprising:
a main body and at least one work tool associated with said body for polishing ceramic manufactured articles or natural stones, air cooling means for said tool; said cooling means comprising at least one channel of delivery of air at said tool, said body being rotatable around a relative axis; said at least one channel of delivery being arranged tilted with respect to the rotation axis or being arranged substantially orthogonal to the rotation axis.

2 . The head according to claim 1 , wherein said air cooling means comprise at least one air collection chamber and at least one duct for feeding air into said air collection chamber, said channel of delivery communicating with said collection chamber.

         3 . (canceled)

4 . The head according to claim 2 , wherein said collection chamber is arranged at a lower portion of said body.

5 . The head according to claim 2 , wherein said air cooling means comprise at least one feed duct which is at least partly extended along and enclosing a central symmetry axis of said head, said feed duct opening on a lower part or on a respective bottom of at least one channel of delivery, said at least one channel of delivery opening towards said at least one tool.

6 . The head according to claim 2 , wherein said at least one feed duct opens onto a bottom in said chamber in a substantially lower central position of said head.

7 . The head according to claim 5 , wherein said at least one channel of delivery opens into a zone, the zone being central, external and below (AZ) said head, so as to feed cooling air against external surface of said at least one tool.

8 . The head according to claim 2 , wherein the head comprises at least one closure element sealingly associated with a lower portion of said body and facing the air outlet mouth defined by said feed duct, said collection chamber being interposed between said closure element and said body.

9 . The head according to claim 2 , comprising a plurality of said tools associated on the lower part of the body and at least one of said channels of delivery for each of said tools.

10 . The head according to claim 3 , wherein said tools are mounted around said at least one feed duct to centrally convey cooling air to said head through said at least one feed duct, and from a central bottom position of said at least one feed duct cooling air is substantially radially conveyed through said delivery channels towards said tools.

11 . The head according to claim 1 , wherein said collection chamber is laterally delimited by a wall having substantially circular shape and wherein said delivery channels branch out from said wall.

         12 . (canceled)

13 . The head according to claim 1 , comprising a plurality of channels of delivery arranged tilted with respect to the rotation axis and with an air outlet section arranged below the inlet section and directed towards a respective tool or arranged substantially orthogonal to the rotation axis and open towards the respective tool to hit the respective tool substantially parallel to a contact surface with a manufactured article.

14 . The head according to claim 2 , wherein said rotation axis corresponds to a longitudinal axis of said at least one feed duct.

15 . The head according to claim 1 , it wherein the head comprises a bell-shaped element or an annular element entirely or partly enclosing said main body and delimiting, with an external surface of said main body, a zone for conveying cooling fluid towards an abutment surface.

16 . The head according to claim 15 , wherein said zone for conveying fluid of said bell-shaped element or annular element is fed, at an upper end thereof, by air and is configured to deliver air to a lower end of said bell-shaped element or of said annular element.

17 . Machinery for working ceramic manufactured articles or natural stones, comprising:
a support frame and at least one surface of abutment of the ceramic manufactured articles or of the natural stones associated with said support frame and movable along an advancement direction: at least one head for smoothing the ceramic manufactured articles or the natural stones according to claim 1 , said head being arranged above said abutment surface.

18 . The machinery according to claim 17 , comprising a plurality of said heads associated with said support frame and arranged one after the other along said advancement direction.

19 . The machinery according to claim 17 , comprising means for suctioning processing residues.

20 . The machinery according to claim 17 , wherein said means for suctioning are arranged on a side of said abutment surface with respect to the advancement direction of the ceramic manufactured articles or of the natural stones.

21 . The machinery according to claim 17 , wherein said means for suctioning comprise at least one suction case having a suction opening placed at a height of the interface surface between said at least one tool and said abutment surface or directed towards said abutment surface.

22 . The head according to claim 2 , said feed duct traversing said main body and comprises a first end, connectable with air feeding means, adapted to send pressurized air into said feed duct, and a second end, coinciding with the outlet mouth, arranged in proximity to the bottom of said collection chamber.

23 . The head according to claim 9 , wherein each tool is associated with the body via interposition of a support element, and wherein each support element is movable in rotation with respect to the body around a relative rotation axis, to allow movement of each tool along a predefined work angle.
