Abstract
Technologies are generally described for a media content provision scheme. In some examples, a method to provide audience-centric content may include identifying a targeted user from among one or more users proximate to an electronic device based, at least in part, on information regarding previous media selections by each of the one or more users; and providing the one or more users with media content directed to the targeted user.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A content-providing server system, comprising:
a transmitter configured to transmit media content to a display device; a receiver configured to receive data regarding behavior of each of one or more users in response to the transmission of the media content; a memory; and at least one processor communicatively coupled to the memory, wherein the at least one processor is configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to:
generate information regarding previous media selections by each of the one or more users,
wherein the generation of the information is based, at least in part, on the data regarding the behavior of each of the one or more users, and
wherein the memory is further configured to store the information regarding previous media selections by each of the one or more users.
2 . The content-providing server system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more users include one or more viewers.
3 . The content-providing server system of claim 1 , wherein the media content includes at least one advertisement.
4 . The content-providing server system of claim 3 , wherein the behavior of each of the one or more users includes at least one of: view of the at least one advertisement, purchase of an item advertised by the at least one advertisement, search for information regarding the item, or participation in a user activity associated with the item in an social network service (SNS).
5 . The content-providing server system of claim 1 , wherein the receiver is configured to receive the data regarding the behavior of each of the one or more users in response to the transmission of the media content from at least one of: the display device, a user device of each user, or a user account associated with each of the one or more users in the content-providing server system.
6 . The content-providing server system of claim 1 , wherein the receiver is further configured to receive, from the display device, an image of the one or more users, and wherein the at least one processor is further configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to:
identify a targeted user among the one or more users, wherein the identification of the targeted user is based, at least in part, on the received image and the information regarding previous media selections by each of the one or more users.
7 . The content-providing server system of claim 6 , wherein to identify the targeted user, the at least one processor is configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to:
identify respective faces of the one or more users in the received image by use of a facial recognition technique; match the respective identified faces to corresponding information regarding previous media selections; and identify which of the information regarding previous media selections by respective one or more users has a highest index value.
8 . The content-providing server system of claim 1 , wherein the receiver is further configured to receive, from the display device, identification information of at least one of the one or more users, and wherein the transmitter is further configured to transmit, to the display device, the information regarding previous media selections by the at least one of the one or more users.
9 . The content-providing server system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to:
identify a targeted user from among the one or more users, wherein the identification of the targeted user is based, at least in part, on the information regarding previous media selections by each of the one or more users.
10 . The content-providing server system of claim 9 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to:
determine media content directed to the identified targeted user, wherein the transmitter is configured to transmit, to the display device, the determined media content.
11 . The content-providing server system of claim 1 , wherein the receiver is configured to:
receive, from respective user devices, the data regarding behavior of each of the one or more users.
12 . The content-providing server system of claim 1 , wherein the information regarding previous media selections includes one or more index values, wherein each index value is associated with a corresponding user of the one or more users, and wherein the at least one processor is further configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to:
update the one or more index values in response to a detection of a change in behavior of the corresponding user of the one or more users.
13 . An electronic device, comprising:
a camera configured to capture an image of one or more users proximate to the electronic device; at least one processor communicatively coupled to the camera, wherein the at least one processor is configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to identify, from the image captured by the camera, a targeted user from among the one or more users, and wherein the identification of the targeted user is based, at least in part, on information regarding previous media selections by each of the one or more users; and a display communicatively coupled to the at least one processor and configured to display media content directed to the targeted user.
14 . The electronic device of claim 13 , further comprising:
a transmitter configured to transmit, to a content service provider, identification information for at least one of the one or more users; and a receiver configured to receive, from the content service provider, the information regarding previous media selections by each of the one or more users.
15 . The electronic device of claim 14 , wherein the transmitter is further configured to transmit, to the content service provider, identification information for the targeted user, and wherein the receiver is further configured to receive, from the content service provider, the media content directed to the targeted user.
16 . The electronic device of claim 14 , wherein the information regarding previous media selections includes an index value obtained based on each user's behavior in response to media content previously provided by the content service provider.
17 . The electronic device of claim 16 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to:
generate data regarding the behavior of each of the one or more users, wherein the generation of the data is based, at least in part, on the image captured by the camera, wherein the transmitter is further configured to transmit, to the content service provider, the generated data regarding the behavior of each of the one or more users.
18 . The electronic device of claim 13 , wherein the identification of the targeted user includes identification of respective faces of the one or more users from the image of the one or more users by use of a facial recognition technique.
19 . A system to provide audience-centric content, the system comprising:
a receiver configured to:
receive an image of one or more users from an electronic device, wherein the one or more users are present within a proximity of the electronic device; and
receive data regarding behavior of each of the one or more users in response to media content previously provided by the system;
a memory; at least one processor communicatively coupled to the memory and to the receiver, wherein the at least one processor is configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to:
identify respective faces of the one or more users in the received image by use of a facial recognition technique;
match the respective identified faces to corresponding information, stored in the memory, regarding previous media selections by respective one or more users, wherein the information regarding previous media selections includes one or more index values; and
identify a user whose information regarding previous media selections has a highest index value as a targeted user, wherein the one or more index values are updated in response to a detection of a change in behavior of a respective user of the one or more users; and
a transmitter coupled to the at least one processor and configured to transmit media content directed to the targeted user.
20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to perform or control performance of at least one operation to determine the media content directed to the targeted user.
21 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the determined media content includes at least one advertisement directed to the targeted user.
