Abstract
A weighted exercising device for attachment to a foot of a user includes a shoe that is configured to couple to the foot of the user. A plate is coupled to a sole of the shoe. A pair of couplers is coupled singly to and extends from opposing sides of the plate proximate to a back of the plate. A plurality of weights is selectively couplable to the couplers. The improvement is the plate being coupled to the shoe such that the couplers are positioned to selectively couple to respective weights, wherein a selected degree of resistance is provided during exercise.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A weighted exercising device comprising:
a shoe configured for coupling to a foot of a user; a plate coupled to a sole of said shoe through a bottom surface of said sole, said plate having a shape substantially equivalent to a shape of said sole of said shoe wherein opposing sides of said plate are vertically aligned with outer edges of said sole; a pair of couplers coupled singly to and extending from said opposing sides of said plate proximate to a back of said plate; a plurality of weights selectively couplable to said couplers; and wherein said plate is coupled to said shoe such that said couplers are positioned for selective coupling to respective said weights, wherein a selected degree of resistance is provided during exercise.
2 . The device of claim 1 , further including said plate being rigid.
3 . The device of claim 2 , further including said plate comprising metal.
4 . (canceled)
5 . The device of claim 1 , further including said pair of couplers comprising:
a channel extending between said opposing sides of said plate; a rod positioned through said channel such that threaded sections of said rod protrude from each said opposing side of said plate; and a pair of collars, said collars being complementary to and reversibly couplable to said threaded sections.
6 . The device of claim 5 , further including said rod being coupled to said plate.
7 . The device of claim 5 , further including each said weight comprising:
a disk; a penetration axially positioned through said disk; and wherein said penetration is positioned through said disk such that said penetration is positioned for insertion of a respective said threaded section of said rod, wherein said respective said threaded section is positioned for coupling to a respective said collar such that said weight is coupled to said plate.
8 . The device of claim 7 , further including said disk comprising metal.
9 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising:
a plurality of first connectors coupled to said plate; a plurality of second connectors coupled to a sole of said shoe, said second connectors being complementary to said first connectors; and wherein each said second connector is positioned on said shoe such that said second connector is positioned to couple to an associated said first connector to couple said shoe to said plate.
10 . The device of claim 9 , further including said plurality of first connectors comprising three said first connectors such that two said first connectors are positioned proximate to said back of said plate and one said first connector is positioned proximate to a front of said plate.
11 . The device of claim 9 , further comprising:
each said first connectors comprising a hole through said plate and a nut; and said second connectors comprising threaded screws, said threaded screws being complementary to said nuts.
12 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising:
a strap coupled to and extending from said plate such that opposing ends of said strap are positionable proximate to a top of said shoe; a fastener coupled to said strap, said fastener being couplable to said strap to form a loop around said shoe; and wherein said fastener is positioned on said strap such that said fastener is positioned to couple to said strap to couple the foot of the user to said plate.
13 . The device of claim 12 , further including said fastener comprising a buckle.
14 . A weighted exercising device comprising:
a shoe configured for coupling to a foot of a user; a plate coupled to a sole of said shoe through a bottom surface of said sole, said plate being rigid, said plate comprising metal, said plate having a shape substantially equivalent to a shape of said sole of said shoe wherein opposing sides of said plate are vertically aligned with outer edges of said sole; a pair of couplers coupled singly to and extending from said opposing sides of said plate proximate to a back of said plate, said pair of couplers comprising:
a channel extending between said opposing sides of said plate,
a rod positioned through said channel such that threaded sections of said rod protrude from each said opposing side of said plate, said rod being coupled to said plate, and
a pair of collars, said collars being complementary to and reversibly couplable to said threaded sections;
a plurality of weights selectively couplable to said couplers, each said weight comprising:
a disk, said disk comprising metal,
a penetration axially positioned through said disk, and
wherein said penetration is positioned through said disk such that said penetration is positioned for insertion of a respective said threaded section of said rod, wherein said respective said threaded section is positioned for coupling to a respective said collar such that said weight is coupled to said plate;
a plurality of first connectors coupled to said plate, said plurality of first connectors comprising three said first connectors such that two said first connectors are positioned proximate to said back of said plate and one said first connector is positioned proximate to a front of said plate, each said first connectors comprising a hole through said plate and a nut; a plurality of second connectors coupled to a sole of said shoe, said second connectors being complementary to said first connectors, wherein each said second connector is positioned on said shoe such that said second connector is positioned to couple to an associated said first connector to couple said shoe to said plate, said second connectors comprising threaded screws, said threaded screws being complementary to said nuts; a strap coupled to and extending from said plate such that opposing ends of said strap are positionable proximate to a top of said shoe; a fastener coupled to said strap, said fastener being couplable to said strap to form a loop around said shoe, wherein said fastener is positioned on said strap such that said fastener is positioned to couple to said strap to couple the foot of the user to said plate, said fastener comprising a buckle; and wherein each said second connector is positioned on said shoe such that said second connector is positioned to couple to said associated said first connector to couple said shoe to said plate, wherein said shoe is configured to couple to the foot of the user, wherein said penetration is positioned through said disk such that said penetration is positioned for insertion of said respective said threaded section of said rod, wherein said respective said threaded section is positioned for coupling to said respective said collar such that said weight is coupled to said plate, wherein a selected degree of resistance is provided during exercise.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
