System and method for the delivery of content to a networked device
Abstract
In a system for delivering information to and displaying information on a networked device of a user, a microprocessor is coupled to a database and a memory device. The microprocessor runs a software application for delivering an applet application to the networked device and managing the delivery of the applet application. The applet application provides for the display of information on the networked device by an applet. The database stores a first set of information relating to the user, and the memory device includes a second set of information for comparison to the first set of information, and a third set of information for display by the applet. The microprocessor compares the first set of information to the second set of information to determine whether to transmit the third set of information to the networked device for display by the applet.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A device, the device comprising:
a display; a memory storing content and a set of instructions; a microprocessor coupled to the display and the memory, wherein the set of instructions cause the microprocessor to:
obtain the content from the memory,
display the content in a predetermined portion of the display that is less than an entire display of the device, wherein the device is configured such that at a time of display of an instance of the display of the content the device continues to operate in a state prior to the display of the instance of the display of the content, and
deploy a browser subsequent to displaying of the content based on at least one of an action or an inaction of a user with respect to the content displayed on the display, wherein the instance of the display of the content becomes non-interactive upon deployment of the browser.
2 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the set of instruction is a mobile application.
3 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the content includes at least one of advertising, offers, coupons, news, notices, alerts.
4 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the content includes information based on predetermined criteria of the user.
5 . The device of claim 1 , wherein display of the content in the predetermined portion of the display of the device occurs automatically.
6 . The device of claim 1 , wherein display of the content in the predetermined portion of the display of the device is via a window that enters the viewing area of the display from an edge of the display.
7 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the device is a mobile phone or tablet computer.
8 . The device of claim 6 , wherein the instance of the display of the content in the predetermined portion of the display of the device via a window that enters the viewing area of the display from an edge of the display becomes inactive on the device via at least one of the window closing, exiting the viewing area, retreating to a background position or deactivating.
9 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the non-interactivity is limited to a period of time when the browser is deploying or the content is not visible on the display.
10 . A method, the method comprising:
obtaining content from a memory of a computing device using a microprocessor; displaying the content in a predetermined portion of a display of the device that is less than an entire display of the device, wherein the device is configured such that at a time of display of an instance of the display of the content the device continues to operate in a state prior to the display of the instance of the display of the content; and deploying a browser subsequent to displaying of the content based on at least one of an action or an inaction of a user with respect to the content displayed on the display, wherein the instance of the display of the content becomes non-interactive upon deployment of the browser.
11 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising:
obtaining a first set of information relating to the user; comparing the first set of information to a second set of information relating to parameters for transmission of the content to the device; and at least one of transmitting the content to the device for display and not transmitting the content to the device, based on the result of the comparing.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the first set of information includes demographic information relating to the user.
13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the second set of information includes the parameters and is determined by the provider of the content.
14 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the content includes at least one of advertising, offers, coupons, news, notices, alerts.
15 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the content includes information based on predetermined criteria of the user.
16 . The method of claim 10 , wherein display of the content in the predetermined portion of the display of the device occurs automatically.
17 . The method of claim 10 , wherein display of the content in the predetermined portion of the display of the device is via a window that enters the viewing area of the display from an edge of the display.
18 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the device is a mobile phone or tablet computer.
19 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising delivering a third set of information based on an act of the user with respect to the content.
20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the third set of information includes at least one of an audiovisual work and an electronic currency.
21 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the act of the user is one or more mouse click on the displayed content.
22 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the instance of the display of the content in the predetermined portion of the display of the device via a window that enters the viewing area of the display from an edge of the display becomes inactive on the device via at least one of the window closing, exiting the viewing area, retreating to a background position or deactivating.
23 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the application is a mobile game.
24 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the non-interactivity is limited to a period of time when the browser is deploying or the content is not visible on the display.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
