Abstract

A Hail Veil is a hail protection device that attaches to the strongest areas of a vehicle frame to support four rods; one at the very front of the car, one at the back of the car and two on the roof. Mesh is then strategically attached to the front, top, back and sides of the vehicle and fastened to create a barrier to the hail. The hail veil is portable and fits into the trunk of the vehicle for quick access.

Claims

1 ) A collapsible protective vehicle covering system, comprising:
 a) a collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly including:
 i) a shroud comprising:
 a top-surface comprising an isolator, 
 a bottom-surface, and 
 a thickness, and 
 
 ii) at least one collapsible mount assembly comprising at least one mounting point, at least one collapsible horizontal bar and at least one telescopic vertical support; 
   c) wherein said shroud comprises mesh;   d) wherein said at least one collapsible mount assembly is structured and arranged for placement adjacent a vehicle and further structured and arranged to support said shroud both above and around a vehicle-top and top-sides of said vehicle;   e) wherein said bottom-surface is structured and arranged for placement nearer said vehicle when used as compared to placement of said top-surface and said thickness;   f) wherein said top-surface and said bottom-surface are mechanically joined with said thickness; and   g) wherein said top-surface provides is structured and arranged with said isolator for isolating said vehicle from damaging effects of inclement weather and hail damage, and said at least one collapsible mount assembly is structured and arranged with said bottom-surface for removably couplabling said collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly to a frame of said vehicle.   
     
     
         2 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 1 , wherein the shroud is configured of an impact resistant screen material. 
     
     
         3 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 2 , wherein the shroud comprises a first-wall. 
     
     
         4 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 3 , wherein the shroud comprises a second-wall. 
     
     
         5 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 4 , wherein the shroud comprises a third-wall. 
     
     
         6 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 5 , wherein the shroud comprises a fourth-wall. 
     
     
         7 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 6 , wherein the shroud comprises a top-wall. 
     
     
         8 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 7 , wherein the at least one collapsible mount assembly comprises exactly four of said at least one collapsible mount assemblies.

         12 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 11 , wherein the exactly two vertical supports are sectional. 
     
     
         13 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 11 , wherein the exactly two vertical supports are telescopic. 
     
     
         14 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 11 , wherein said collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly, when mounted, provides an air-space above and partially around said vehicle. 
     
     
         15 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 14 , wherein the at least one collapsible mount assembly of said “exactly four” collapsible mount assemblies comprises a t-configuration. 
     
     
         16 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 1 , wherein the collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly further comprises straps for removable coupling of said shroud to said vehicle. 
     
     
         17 ) A collapsible protective vehicle covering system, comprising:
 a) a collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly including
 i) a shroud comprising:
 a top-surface, 
 a bottom-surface, and 
 a thickness; and 
 
 ii) at least one collapsible mount assembly comprising at least one mounting point, at least one collapsible horizontal bar and at least one telescopic vertical support; 
   c) wherein said shroud comprises mesh;   d) wherein the shroud is configured of an impact resistant screen material;   e) wherein the shroud comprises a first-wall;   f) wherein the shroud comprises a second-wall;   g) wherein the shroud comprises a third-wall;   h) wherein the shroud comprises a fourth-wall;   i) wherein the shroud comprises a top-wall;   j) wherein the at least one collapsible mount assembly comprises exactly four of said at least one collapsible mount assemblies;   k) wherein each of said collapsible mount assemblies includes a collapsible horizontal bar;   l) wherein each of said collapsible mount assemblies includes exactly two vertical supports;   m) wherein the exactly two vertical supports are sectional;   n) wherein said collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly, when mounted, provides an air-space above and partially around said vehicle;   o) wherein the at least one collapsible mount assembly of said “exactly four” collapsible mount assemblies comprises a t-configuration,   p) wherein the collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly further comprises straps for removable coupling of said shroud to said vehicle;   q) wherein said at least one collapsible mount assembly is adjacent said vehicle to support said shroud above and around a vehicle-top and top-sides of said vehicle;   r) wherein said bottom-surface is located nearest said vehicle when used;   s) wherein said top-surface and said bottom-surface are joined via said thickness; and   t) wherein said top-surface provides an isolating means for said vehicle from damaging effects of inclement weather and hail damage, said at least one collapsible mount assembly removably couplable to a frame of said vehicle and portable when collapsed.   
     
     
         18 ) The collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 17 , further comprising a set of instructions, and a storage bag:
 a) wherein the collapsible protective vehicle covering system is arranged as a kit.   
     
     
         19 ) A method of removably securing the collapsible protective vehicle covering system of  claim 17 , the method comprising the steps of:
 a) removing a collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly from a storage bag;   b) unfolding a shroud;   c) erecting a collapsible mount assembly;   d) attaching said collapsible mount assembly to a vehicle frame;   e) applying said shroud over said collapsible mount assembly, and   f) securing said collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly to said vehicle with straps.   
     
     
         20 ) The method of  claim 19 , further comprising the steps of:
 a) removing said collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly by releasing said straps;   b) removing said shroud from said collapsible mount assembly;   c) removing said collapsible mount assembly from said vehicle frame;   d) collapsing said collapsible mount assembly;   e) folding said shroud; and   f) placing said collapsible protective vehicle covering assembly in a storage bag.
