Photographic camouflaged scent-free game calls and method of manufacturing same

Abstract

A scent-free game call configured to emulate a sound of a predetermined species of animal, the call comprising a mouthpiece section, with a digitally reproduced image displayed thereon, in a manner such that the digitally reproduced image specifically relates to said predetermined species.

We claim: 
     
         1 . A game call comprising:
 a game call insert;   a game call cover, which is matched with said game call insert, when said game call insert is inserted into said game call cover, and air is blown through said game call cover, a sound is made which resembles a sound made by an animal;   said game call cover further comprising:
 a tube, wherein said tube has an first cylindrical surface and an second cylindrical surface; said first cylindrical surface being sized and configured to receive and to retain, therein, a portion of said game call insert; 
 an image disposed on said second cylindrical surface of said tube; 
 an outer translucent member; 
 said outer translucent member having a cylindrical inner surface; and 
 a contoured outer surface, having a differential thickness characteristic, through which said image is visible. 
   
     
     
         2 . The game call of  claim 1  further comprising a game call mouth piece disposed over said outer translucent member. 
     
     
         3 . The game call of  claim 2 , wherein said outer translucent member is welded to said game call mouth piece. 
     
     
         4 . The game call of  claim 2  where: said animal is a predetermined species; and said image comprises information relating to said predetermined species. 
     
     
         5 . The game call of  claim 2 , wherein said image comprises text. 
     
     
         6 . The game call of  claim 2 , wherein said game call mouth piece is detachably coupled to said outer translucent member. 
     
     
         7 . The game call of  claim 2  further comprising an outlet end cap detachably disposed over an end of said outer translucent member opposing said game call mouth piece. 
     
     
         8 . The game call of  claim 7  wherein said tube comprises a flanged insert which is accessed by removing said outlet end cap. 
     
     
         9 . The game call of  claim 2  wherein said game call mouth piece further comprises annular protuberances disposed therein. 
     
     
         10 . A method of making a game call comprising the steps of:
 providing a game call insert; comprising:
 a reed; 
 a sounding board, disposed immediately adjacent to said reed; where said sounding board and said reed are configured to emulate a sound of an animal; 
 a hollow end coupled to said sounding board; 
 providing a tube having a first surface and an second surface; said first surface being sized and configured to receive and to retain, therein, a portion of said game call insert, including said sounding board and said reed; 
 disposing an image around said second surface; and 
 disposing a translucent cover with a cover surface over said image. 
   
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 10 , wherein said image is an image corresponding to a previously created image. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein said image is the same as said previously created image, which is an image of information relating to said animal. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 10  wherein said step of disposing a translucent cover is accomplished by inserting into an air outlet end of the translucent cover, said tube, having said image disposed thereon. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13  further comprising the steps of:
 placing a game call mouth piece over a first end of said translucent cover; 
 placing an end over said air outlet end of said translucent cover; and 
 inserting said game call insert through an orifice in said end. 
 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14  further comprising the steps of connecting said game call mouth piece to said translucent cover and connecting said end to one of said tube and said translucent cover. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 14  further comprising the steps of pressing said game call mouth piece onto said translucent cover and disposing said end onto said translucent cover. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16  further comprising the steps of:
 removing the game call insert from the orifice in the end; 
 removing the end from the translucent cover; 
 removing the tube from the translucent cover; 
 removing the image from said tube; 
 replacing the image with a second image; 
 placing the game call mouth piece over the first end of said translucent cover; 
 placing the end over said air outlet end of said translucent cover; and 
 inserting said game call insert through the orifice in said end. 
 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 17  wherein said second image is the same as said image. 
     
     
         19 . A game call comprising:
 a call insert;   a call cover, which is deployable with said call insert, when said call insert is inserted into said call cover, and air is blown through said call cover, an animal emulating sound is made;   said call cover further comprising:
 a tube, wherein said tube has a first tube surface and a second tube surface; said first tube surface being sized and configured to receive and to retain, therein, a portion of said call insert; 
 an image disposed on one of said first tube surface and said second tube surface; 
 a translucent member; and 
 said translucent member having a translucent member first surface and a second translucent member surface which is non-continuously parallel with respect to said translucent member first surface. 
   
     
     
         20 . The game call of  claim 19  wherein said image is a visually indistinguishable reproduction of a preexisting image.
