Abstract

A crops management system comprising: a system server storing at least one database comprising past and present data relating to at least one resource, crop and procedure; at least one mobile communication device running a user application adapted for different functionalities, the at least one mobile communication device is configured to communicate bi-directionally with the system server; at least one sensor communicating with the system server, the at least one sensor adapted to sense at least one parameter, the at least one sensor selected from the group consisting of fixed sensors and mobile sensors; and at least one external electronic data source communicating with the system server, the system configured to aggregate data received from the at least one data source relating to a plurality of crops and from the at least one mobile device, and produce at least one of reports, forecasts, work plans and performance control for at least one resource, relating to at least one crop.

1 . A crops management system comprising:
 a system server storing at least one database comprising past and present data relating to at least one resource, crop and procedure;   at least one mobile communication device running a user application adapted for different functionalities, said at least one mobile communication device is configured to communicate bi-directionally with said system server;   at least one sensor communicating with said system server, said at least one sensor adapted to sense at least one parameter, said at least one sensor selected from the group consisting of fixed sensors and mobile sensors; and   at least one external electronic data source communicating with said system server,   said system configured to aggregate data received from said at least one data source relating to a plurality of crops and from said at least one mobile device, and produce at least one of reports, forecasts, work plans and performance control for at least one resource, relating to at least one crop.   
     
     
         2 . The management system of  claim 1 , wherein said data relating to at least one resource comprises at least one of weather conditions, season, regulation demands and pesticide prices. 
     
     
         3 . The management system of  claim 1 , wherein said data relating to crops comprises at least one of crop type, phenologic stage, monitoring results, LAI (Leaf Area Index) and crop location. 
     
     
         4 . The management system of  claim 1 , wherein said data relating to procedures comprises crops and execution data for pest control. 
     
     
         5 . The management system of  claim 1 , wherein said fixed sensors are selected from the group consisting of soil moisture sensors, temperature sensors and at least one camera. 
     
     
         6 . The management system of  claim 1 , wherein said mobile sensors are selected from the group consisting of Global Positioning System (GPS) sensors and at least one camera. 
     
     
         7 . The management system of  claim 1 , wherein said different functionalities comprise at least one of pest control and directing. 
     
     
         8 . The management system of  claim 7 , wherein said user application comprises a pest control advisor application. 
     
     
         9 . The management system of  claim 1 , wherein said external sources are selected from the group consisting of weather forecast, season, regulation demands and pesticide prices sources. 
     
     
         10 . The management system of  claim 1 , wherein said reports comprise at least one of pest distribution maps and implementation maps. 
     
     
         11 . The management system of  claim 1 , wherein said forecasts comprise pest distribution forecasts. 
     
     
         12 . A method of controlling crops comprising:
 providing a system server storing at least one database comprising past and present data relating to at least one resource, crops and procedures;
 at least one mobile communication device running a user application adapted for different functionalities, said at least one mobile communication device communicating bi-directionally with said system server; 
 at least one sensor communicating with said system server, said at least one sensor adapted to sense at least one parameter, said at least one sensor selected from the group consisting of fixed sensors and mobile sensors; and 
 at least one external electronic data source communicating with said system server, 
   receiving from said at least one mobile communication device current data relating to a crop or a lot;   receiving from said at least one sensor current data relating to said crop or said lot;   receiving from said at last one external electronic data source data relating to external conditions;   communicating to said at least one mobile communication device instructions relating to said crop or said lot;   and   aggregating data relating to said crop, received from said at least one data source and from said at least one mobile communication device and producing at least one of reports, forecasts, work plans and performance control for at least one resource, relating to said crop.   
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein said data relating to at least one resource comprises at least one of carrier type, sprayer type nozzles' pressure carrier speed and sprayer speed. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein said data relating to said crop comprises at least one of crop type, phenologic stage, monitoring results, LAI (Leaf Area Index) and crop location. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14 , further comprising capturing a crop with a mobile camera and processing the image to compute the crop's phenologic stage. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 14 , further comprising receiving satellite images of a crop and processing the image to compute the crop's LAI (Leaf Area Index). 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 12 , further comprising producing crops and execution data for pest control. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein said fixed sensors are selected from the group consisting of soil moisture sensors, temperature sensors and at least one camera. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein said mobile sensors are selected from the group consisting of GPS sensors and at least one camera. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein said mobile sensors are mounted on a carrier. 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein said different functionalities comprise at least one of pest control and directing. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 21 , wherein said user application comprises a pest control advisor application. 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein said external sources are selected from the group consisting of weather forecast, season, regulation demands and pesticide prices sources. 
     
     
         24 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein said reports comprise at least one of pest distribution maps and implementation maps. 
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 24 , wherein producing forecasts comprises producing pest distribution forecasts based at least on said pest distribution maps, data from said at least one external source and said past data.
