User profile selection using contextual authentication
Abstract
In embodiments, apparatuses, methods and storage media (transitory and non-transitory) are described that are associated with user profile selection using contextual authentication. In various embodiments, a first user of a computing device may be authenticated and have an access control state corresponding to a first user profile established, the computing device may select a second user profile based at least in part a changed user characteristic, and the computing device may present a resource based at least in part on the second user profile. In various embodiments, the computing device may include a sensor and a user profile may be selected based at least in part on an output of the sensor and a previously stored template generated by a machine learning classifier.

25 . At least one non-transitory computer-readable medium (CRM) comprising instructions to cause a mobile phone, in response to execution of the instructions by one or more processors of the mobile phone, to:
receive data representative of usage characteristics of a user of the mobile phone; perform passive authentication of the user using the usage characteristics; and enable resources to be consumed by the user, based at least in part on a result of the passive authentication.
26 . The non-transitory CRM of claim 1 , wherein the data representative of usage characteristics of a user of the mobile phone comprise behaviometric data of the user collected while the user is using the mobile phone.
27 . The non-transitory CRM of claim 26 , wherein the behaviometric data of the user comprise movement data collected while the user is using the mobile phone.
28 . The non-transitory CRM of claim 25 , wherein the received data, the usage characteristics, and the user are respectively first received data, first usage characteristics, and first user;
the mobile phone is further caused to receive second data representative of second usage characteristics of a second user of the mobile phone, and perform passive authentication comprises perform passive authentication of the user based on the second received data, in view of the first received data.
29 . The non-transitory CRM of claim 25 , wherein to perform passive authentication comprises to continuously receive data representative of usage characteristics of the mobile phone, and to monitor, continuously, usage characteristics of the mobile phone.
30 . The non-transitory CRM of claim 25 , wherein to receive usage characteristics data of a user of the mobile phone comprises to receive sensor data from one or more sensors of the mobile phone while the user is using the mobile phone.
31 . The non-transitory CRM of claim 25 , wherein to enable resources to be consumed comprises to selectively enable various applications of the mobile phone to be used by the user.
32 . The non-transitory CRM of claim 25 , wherein to enable resources to be consumed comprises to selectively enable various contents to be consumed by the user using the mobile phone.
33 . A method comprising:
receiving, by a mobile phone, data representative of usage characteristics of a user of the mobile phone; performing, by the mobile phone, passive authentication of the user using the usage characteristics; and enabling, by the mobile phone, resources to be consumed by the user, based at least in part on a result of the passive authentication.
34 . The method of claim 33 , wherein the data representative of usage characteristics of a user of a mobile phone comprise behaviometric data of the user collected while the user is using the mobile phone.
35 . The method of claim 34 , wherein the behaviometric data of the user comprise movement data collected while the user is using the mobile phone.
36 . The method of claim 33 , wherein the received data, the usage characteristics, and the user are respectively first received data, first usage characteristics, and first user;
the method further comprises receiving, by the mobile phone, second data representative of second usage characteristics of a second user of the mobile phone, and performing passive authentication comprises performing passive authentication of the user based on the second received data, in view of the first received data.
37 . The method of claim 33 , wherein receiving comprises continuously receiving data representative of usage characteristics of the mobile phone, and performing passive authentication comprises monitoring, continuously, usage characteristics of the mobile phone.
38 . The method of claim 33 , wherein receiving usage characteristics data of a user of the mobile phone comprises receiving sensor data from one or more sensors of the mobile phone while the user is using the mobile phone.
39 . The method of claim 33 , wherein enabling resources to be consumed comprises selectively enabling various applications of the mobile phone to be used by the user.
40 . The method of claim 33 , wherein enabling resources to be consumed comprises selectively enabling various contents to be consumed by the user using the mobile phone.
41 . A mobile phone comprising;
one or more processor; memory; a module stored in the memory, and executed by the one or more processor to: receive data representative of usage characteristics of a user of the mobile phone; perform passive authentication of the user using the usage characteristics; and enable resources to be consumed by the user, based at least in part on a result of the passive authentication.
42 . The mobile phone of claim 41 , wherein the data representative of usage characteristics of a user of the mobile phone comprise behaviometric data of the user collected while the user is using the mobile phone.
43 . The mobile phone of claim 42 , wherein the behaviometric data of the user comprise movement data collected while the user is using the mobile phone.
44 . The mobile phone of claim 41 , wherein the received data, the usage characteristics, and the user are respectively first received data, first usage characteristics, and first user;
the mobile phone is further caused to receive second data representative of second usage characteristics of a second user of the mobile phone, and perform passive authentication comprises perform passive authentication of the user based on the second received data, in view of the first received data.
45 . The mobile phone of claim 41 , wherein to perform passive authentication comprises to continuously receive data representative of usage characteristics of the mobile phone, and to monitor, continuously, usage characteristics of the mobile phone.
46 . The mobile phone of claim 41 , further comprises one or more sensors, and wherein to receive usage characteristics data of a user of the mobile phone comprises to receive sensor data from the one or more sensors, while the user is using the mobile phone.
