Cannabis chain of custody management
Abstract
A computer implemented method of managing a chain of custody for cannabis , comprising, including receiving at a data repository first encoded data from a first taggant of a cannabis batch from a first custodian, wherein the first taggant can include identification tags having a binder deposited onto a surface of the cannabis batch, and receiving at the data repository second encoded data from a second taggant of the cannabis batch from a second custodian, wherein the second taggant can include identification tags deposited on or disposed within the cannabis batch. The method can further include confirming the identification of the cannabis batch from the received first taggant encoded data and the second encoded data, wherein the confirmation can include determining that the second taggant from the second custodian at least partially correlates with the first taggant data from the first custodian.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A computer implemented method of managing a chain of custody for cannabis , comprising:
receiving at a data repository first encoded data from a first taggant of a cannabis batch from a first custodian, wherein the first taggant is comprised of identification tags having a binder deposited onto a surface of the cannabis batch; receiving at the data repository second encoded data from a second taggant of the cannabis batch from a second custodian, wherein the second taggant is comprised identification tags deposited on or disposed within the cannabis batch; confirming the identification of the cannabis batch from the received first taggant encoded data and the second encoded data, wherein the confirmation is comprised of determining that the second taggant from the second custodian at least partially correlates with the first taggant data from the first custodian.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second custodian is comprised of a processing or extraction facility.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third second custodian is comprised of a distribution facility.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the central repository is operated by or in conjunction with at least one of a federal, state, city, or government agency.
5 . A system for managing a chain of custody for cannabis , comprising:
a central server for receiving read or detected identification tag data of cannabis from a first custodian, a second custodian, and a third custodian, wherein the identification tag data is received from one or more taggant particles deposited onto a surface of the cannabis in combination with a binder; the central server confirming the identity of the cannabis from the received identification tag data, wherein the confirmation is comprised of determining that the identification tag data from the second or third custodian at least partially includes the identification tag data of the first custodian.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
