Abstract
The present disclosure provides display devices and methods. A display device can include a visual curvilinear display mounted on a support member. A user may display or project media through the visual curvilinear display according to a display and/or location preference or schedule of the user.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A digital bumper sticker, comprising:
a support member configured to be mounted to a rear vehicle surface: a display coupled to the support member and facing away from the rear vehicle surface, wherein the display is configured to display media objects; a wireless receiver configured to couple to a mobile device and to receive one or more media objects from the mobile device, the mobile device configured to access the received media objects from a media object server; and a controller communicatively coupled to the display, configured to access a media object queue comprising the received one or more media objects, and configured to display a next media object within the queue on the display.
2 .The digital bumper sticker of claim 1 , wherein the display is substantially circular, and wherein the media objects received from the mobile device are formatted based on dimensions of the circular display,
3 . The digital bumper sticker of claim 1 , wherein the display is substantially rectangular, and wherein the media objects received from the mobile device are formatted based on dimensions of the rectangular display.
4 . The digital bumper sticker of claim 1 , further comprising a battery configured to provide power to the display, wireless receiver, and controller, and wherein the battery is inductively rechargeable.
5 . The digital bumper sticker of claim 1 , wherein the media object queue is received from the mobile device.
6 . The digital bumper sticker of claim 1 , wherein the accessed media objects are selected based on a signal received from another person, a driver of another vehicle, or from another vehicle.
7 . The digital bumper sticker of claim 6 , wherein the signal is received from a camera communicatively coupled to the digital bumper sticker.
8 . A method, comprising:
receiving, by a wireless receiver of a digital bumper sticker, one or more media objects from a mobile device, the mobile device configured to access the one or more media objects from a media object server, the digital bumper sticker comprising a support member configured to be mounted to a rear vehicle surface; accessing, by a controller of the digital bumper sticker, a media object queue comprising the received one or more media objects: selecting, by the controller of the digital bumper sticker, a next media object within the media object queue; and displaying, by a display of the digital bumper sticker, the selected next media object, the display coupled to the support member and facing away from the rear vehicle surface.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the display is substantially circular, and wherein the media objects received from the mobile device are formatted based on dimensions of the circular display.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the display is substantially rectangular, and wherein the media objects received from the mobile device are formatted based on dimensions of the rectangular display.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the digital bumper sticker further comprises a battery configured to provide power to the display, wireless receiver, and controller, and wherein the battery is inductively rechargeable.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the media object queue is received from the mobile device.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the received media objects are selected based on a signal received from another person, a driver of another vehicle, or from another vehicle.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the signal is received from a camera communicatively coupled to the digital bumper sticker.
15 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing executable computer instructions that, when executed by a processor, perform steps comprising:
receiving, by a wireless receiver of an electronic device, one or more media objects from a mobile device, the mobile device configured to access the one or more media objects from a media object server, the electronic device configured to be mounted to a rear vehicle surface; accessing, by a controller of the electronic device, a media object queue comprising the received one or more media objects; selecting, by the controller of the electronic device, a next media object within the media object queue; and displaying, by a display of the electronic device, the selected next media object, the display facing away from the rear vehicle surface when the electronic device is mounted to a rear vehicle surface.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the display is substantially circular, and wherein the media objects received from the mobile device are formatted based on dimensions of the circular display.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the display is substantially rectangular, and wherein the media objects received from the mobile device are formatted based on dimensions of the rectangular display.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the electronic device further comprises a battery configured to provide power to the display, wireless receiver, and controller, and wherein the battery is inductively rechargeable.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the media object queue is received from the mobile device.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the received media objects are selected based on a signal received from another person, a driver of another vehicle, or from another vehicle, and wherein the signal is received from a camera of the electronic device.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
