Claims

Abstract

An electro-optical device includes a pixel electrode provided over one side of a substrate, a conductive layer provided between the substrate and the pixel electrode, and a relay electrode provided between the substrate and the conductive layer. The conductive layer includes a conduction section protruding toward the relay electrode. The conduction section is a cylindrical-shape having a bottom surface which is attached to the relay electrode. The conduction section is filled with an insulating material. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the relay electrode through the conductive layer.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An electro-optical device comprising:
 a pixel electrode provided over one side of a substrate;   a conductive layer provided between the substrate and the pixel electrode; and   a relay electrode provided between the substrate and the conductive layer,   wherein
 the conductive layer includes a conduction section protruding toward the relay electrode, 
 the conduction section is a cylindrical-shape having a bottom surface which is attached to the relay electrode, 
 the conduction section is filled with an insulating material, and 
 the pixel electrode is electrically connected to the relay electrode through the conductive layer. 
   
     
     
         2 . An electro-optical device comprising:
 a pixel electrode provided over one side of a substrate;   a conductive layer provided between the substrate and the pixel electrode; and   a relay electrode provided between the substrate and the conductive layer,   wherein
 the conductive layer includes a conduction section protruding toward the relay electrode, 
 the conduction section is a cylindrical-shape having a bottom surface which is attached to the relay electrode, 
 the pixel electrode is electrically connected to the relay electrode through the conductive layer, and 
 an insulating material is positioned between the pixel electrode and the bottom surface in a normal direction of the pixel electrode. 
   
     
     
         3 . An electro-optical device comprising:
 a pixel electrode provided over one side of a substrate;   a conductive layer provided between the substrate and the pixel electrode; and   a relay electrode provided between the substrate and the conductive layer,   wherein
 the conductive layer includes a conduction section protruding toward the relay electrode, 
 the conduction section is a cylindrical-shape having a bottom surface which is attached to the relay electrode, 
 the pixel electrode is electrically connected to the relay electrode through the conductive layer, 
 the conduction section is filled with an insulating material, and 
 a part of the insulating material is positioned between the pixel electrode and the bottom surface.
