Abstract

A method and apparatus for mounting a projector holder to or placing a projector holder on an object for displaying an image onto a surface is disclosed. The projector holder includes a body within which a projector is at least partially disposed. The body includes one or more pliable appendages that are adapted to be manipulated and deformed from a first configuration to a second configuration. In some embodiments, the body is formed in the shape of an animal.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . An apparatus comprising:
a body; and a projector disposed at least partially within the body, the projector being usable to project visible light onto a surface; wherein the body comprises one or more pliable appendages that are arranged to be manipulated and deformed from a first configuration to a second configuration for mounting the apparatus to or placing the apparatus on an exterior of an object.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the one or more pliable appendages are adapted to be manipulated via one or more of bending, twisting, wrapping around, curving, and straightening.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first configuration is different from the second configuration.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the body is formed of at least one of a silicone and rubber material.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the apparatus includes one or more copper wires disposed within the body, the one or more copper wires being a heat sink.

6 . The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the one on more copper wire extends around the projector and into the one or more appendages.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the body is formed in the shape of an animal.

8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the animal is at least one of a monkey, giraffe, tiger, lion, dinosaur, fish and octopus.

9 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the body is formed of a waterproof or water resistant material or of a material treated to be waterproof or water resistant.

10 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the body is formed of a shockproof material.

11 . The apparatus of claim 10 , further comprising a battery for powering the projector.

12 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the battery is rechargeable.

13 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the apparatus comprises one or more ports for connecting the apparatus to one or more peripheral devices.

14 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the one or more peripheral devices comprise one of a battery charger, a smart device, and a computer.

15 . The apparatus of claim 13 , further comprising a cable for connecting the apparatus to the one or more peripheral devices.

16 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the apparatus comprises one or more buttons for controlling the operation of the projector.

17 . The apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the one or more buttons comprise one of a power button, a keystone adjustment button and a rotate image button.

18 . The apparatus of claim 1 , in combination with a peripheral device arranged to supply an image to the apparatus, wherein the apparatus is connected to the peripheral device via at least one of a wired and wireless connection.

19 . The combination of claim 16 , wherein the wireless connection includes a Bluetooth connection.

20 . A method of manufacturing an apparatus, the method comprising:
forming an apparatus having body with one or more pliable appendages and a projector at least partially disposed within the body, the one or more pliable appendages arranged to be manipulated and deformed from a first configuration to a second configuration for placing the apparatus on or mounting the apparatus to an exterior of an object.

         21 - 23 . (canceled)
