Abstract

Customizable chair toppers and charms are disclosed herein. More specifically, customizable chair toppers that are configured to be operably coupled to a backrest portion of a chair are disclosed.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A customizable chair topper comprising:
 a first panel and a second panel that are substantially rectangular and that are coupled together along three edges of the first panel and the second panel and not coupled together along one edge of the first panel and the second panel to create an aperture between the first panel and the second panel that is configured to receive a backrest portion of a chair, and   at least one containment pocket operably coupled to at least one of the first panel or the second panel.   
     
     
         2 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one operably coupled magnet. 
     
     
         3 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one operably coupled magnetically active material. 
     
     
         4 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one containment pocket is configured to accept a magnet. 
     
     
         5 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one writing surface. 
     
     
         6 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 5 , wherein the at least one writing surface is a chalk board. 
     
     
         7 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 5 , wherein the at least one writing surface is a dry erase surface. 
     
     
         8 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 5 , wherein the at least one writing surface is a scoreboard. 
     
     
         9 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one cushion pocket having an aperture contained therein that is configured to accept a seat cushion. 
     
     
         10 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 1 , further comprising one or more fasteners operably coupled to the customizable chair topper. 
     
     
         11 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 10 , wherein the one or more fasteners are hook and loop fasteners. 
     
     
         12 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 10 , wherein the one or more fasteners are clips. 
     
     
         13 . A customizable chair topper comprising:
 a first panel and a second panel that are substantially rectangular and that are coupled together along three edges of the first panel and the second panel and not coupled together along one edge of the first panel and the second panel to create an aperture between the first panel and the second panel that is configured to receive a backrest portion of a chair,   at least one containment pocket operably coupled to at least one of the first panel or the second panel; and   at least one magnet contained within the at least one containment pocket.   
     
     
         14 . The customizable chair topper of  claim 13 , wherein the customizable chair topper includes at least one writing surface. 
     
     
         15 . A charm that is configured as a piece of athletic equipment, a letter, a number, a creature, a natural event, a city skyline, a landmark, a word, or a name. 
     
     
         16 . The charm of  claim 15 , wherein the charm is operably coupled to a magnet. 
     
     
         17 . The charm of  claim 15 , wherein the charm is fabricated from magnetic material. 
     
     
         18 . The charm of  claim 15 , wherein the charm is operably coupled to a fastener. 
     
     
         19 . The charm of  claim 15 , wherein the charm is operably coupled to at least one clip. 
     
     
         20 . The charm of  claim 15 , wherein the charm is operably coupled to one or more hook and loop fasteners.
