Abstract
Example integration systems and methods are disclosed and described. An example apparatus includes a processor and a memory at a first system. The example processor is to be configured by program instructions to at least: authenticate, at the first system, an identity of a first user; when the identity of the first user is positively authenticated by the first system, locate a first content requested by the first user at a second system; receive, at the first system, an authorization from the second system for the first user to access the first content at the second system; when the first user is positively authorized by the second system, provide, via a first viewer, access to the first content at the second system; and facilitate, via the first viewer, manipulation of the first content at the second system according to an access rule for the first content at the second system.

a processor and a memory at a first system, the processor configured by program instructions to at least:
authenticate, at the first system, an identity of a first user;
when the identity of the first user is positively authenticated by the first system, locate a first content requested by the first user at a second system;
receive, at the first system, an authorization from the second system for the first user to access the first content at the second system;
when the first user is positively authorized by the second system, provide, via a first viewer, access to the first content at the second system; and
facilitate, via the first viewer, manipulation of the first content at the second system according to an access rule for the first content at the second system.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first viewer is provided by the first system.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein interaction between the viewer and the second system is facilitated via a middle tier infrastructure.
4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first system includes at least one of a workflow manager or an image service manager.
5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein details of the authentication of the first user by the first system are not available to the second system and wherein details of the authorization of the first user by the second system are not available to the first system.
6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first viewer is to communicate with at least one first system and a plurality of second systems to provide access to data for the first user in a global patient agnostic to implementation of the first and second systems.
7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first viewer is to redirect user operation from the first system to the second system to modify the first content at the second system via the first viewer without storing the first content at the first system.
8 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to at least:
authenticate, at a first system, an identity of a first user; when the identity of the first user is positively authenticated by the first system, locate a first content requested by the first user at a second system; receive, at the first system, an authorization from the second system for the first user to access the first content at the second system; when the first user is positively authorized by the second system, provide, via a first viewer, access to the first content at the second system; and facilitate, via the first viewer, manipulation of the first content at the second system according to an access rule for the first content at the second system.
9 . The computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the first viewer is provided by the first system.
10 . The computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein interaction between the viewer and the second system is facilitated via a middle tier infrastructure.
11 . The computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the first system includes at least one of a workflow manager or an image service manager.
12 . The computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein details of the authentication of the first user by the first system are not available to the second system and wherein details of the authorization of the first user by the second system are not available to the first system.
13 . The computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the first viewer is to communicate with at least one first system and a plurality of second systems to provide access to data for the first user in a global patient agnostic to implementation of the first and second systems.
14 . The computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the first viewer is to redirect user operation from the first system to the second system to modify the first content at the second system via the first viewer without storing the first content at the first system.
15 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
authenticating, by a processor at a first system, an identity of a first user; when the identity of the first user is positively authenticated by the first system, locating a first content requested by the first user at a second system; receiving, at the first system, an authorization from the second system for the first user to access the first content at the second system; when the first user is positively authorized by the second system, providing, via a first viewer, access to the first content at the second system; and facilitating, via the first viewer, manipulation of the first content at the second system according to an access rule for the first content at the second system.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein interaction between the viewer and the second system is facilitated via a middle tier infrastructure.
17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first system includes at least one of a workflow manager or an image service manager.
18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein details of the authentication of the first user by the first system are not available to the second system and wherein details of the authorization of the first user by the second system are not available to the first system.
19 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first viewer is to communicate with at least one first system and a plurality of second systems to provide access to data for the first user in a global patient agnostic to implementation of the first and second systems.
