Abstract
A disposable absorbent having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, is described herein. The topsheet has first and second webs where the second web forms a body-contacting surface of the disposable absorbent article and the first web is disposed between the second web and the absorbent core. The second web is hydrophobic compared to the first web. And, the second web is a nonwoven with a plurality of fibers having a diameter less than about 10 microns.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A disposable absorbent article comprising:
a topsheet comprising apertured first and second webs, the second web forming a body-contacting surface and is hydrophobic compared to the first web, the first web being disposed between the second web and the absorbent core, wherein the second web is a nonwoven comprising a plurality of fibers having a diameter less than about 10 microns; a backsheet; and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet.
2 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the second web is a nonwoven web comprising a plurality of spunbond bicomponent fibers.
3 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the second web comprises multiple layers arranged in a spunbond-meltblown-spunbond configuration.
4 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the first web is a nonwoven web and comprises crimped fibers.
5 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first and second webs comprise a plurality of out of plane three-dimensional structures.
6 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the first web comprises a plurality of spunbond bicomponent fibers.
7 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the second web comprises a plurality of crimped fibers.
8 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the first web and the second web form a composite web.
9 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the first web is a film.
10 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first and second webs comprise a plurality of out of plane three-dimensional structures.
11 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first and second webs comprise a plurality of apertures extending therethrough.
12 . A disposable absorbent article comprising:
a topsheet comprising apertured first and second webs, the second web forming a body-contacting surface and is hydrophobic compared to the first web, the first web being disposed between the second web and the absorbent core, wherein the second web is a nonwoven comprising a plurality of meltblown fibers; a backsheet; and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet.
13 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 12 , wherein the first web and the second web form a composite web.
14 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 12 , wherein the first web is a nonwoven web comprising a plurality of spunbond bicomponent fibers.
15 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 12 , wherein the second web further comprises crimped fibers.
16 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 12 , wherein at least one of the first and second webs comprise a plurality of out of plane three-dimensional structures.
17 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 12 , wherein the second web further comprises a plurality of spunbond bicomponent fibers.
18 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 12 , wherein the first web is a film.
19 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 12 , wherein the second web comprises multiple layers in a spunbond-meltblown-spunbond configuration.
20 . The disposable absorbent article of claim 12 , wherein at least one of the first and second webs comprise a plurality of apertures extending therethrough.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
