Inner Laminated Woven Bag For Food Packaging
Abstract
The composite bag of the present invention generally comprises a multi-layered, inner laminated woven bag for bulk packaging of food products, particularly rice and grain products. The composite bag of the present invention generally comprises a top outer layer made of a polymer film and further comprising an anti-skid coating on one surface and reverse printed matter on its opposing surface; a middle layer comprising a polymer woven layer; a base inner-barrier layer comprising a polymer film that forms the interior liner of the composite bag; and a plurality of holes formed by the top outer layer, the middle layer, and the base inner-barrier layer. The layers of the present invention can be adhesively laminated to each other.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A composite food packaging bag comprising a front side being generally rectangular and planar and a back side being generally rectangular and planar, the front side disposed opposite the back side, wherein the front side is connected to the back side along two parallel side edges;
the back side including a back seam having a first seam edge and a second seam edge; the composite food packaging bag including a first end edge and a second end edge, the composite food packaging bag being open along a second end edge to define an opening between the front side and the back side to an interior portion of the composite food packaging bag, the front side and the rear side each including: a base inner-barrier layer, said base inner-barrier layer including a continuous polymeric film layer; a second layer including a polymer woven layer comprising plastic resin strips forming a woven structure, the inner barrier layer being bonded completely coextensively to one face of the woven structure; and wherein the bag includes perforations through the base inner-barrier layer and the second layer; wherein the bag is configured to lay flat prior to being filled with a food product; and wherein the base inner-barrier layer forms a continuous barrier when the first seam edge and the second seam edge are sealed to form the back seam.
2 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 1 , further comprising a top outer layer including a polymer film laminated to the other face of the second layer, and wherein the perforations extend through the top outer layer.
3 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 2 , wherein the top outer layer further includes a first outer surface, the first outer surface further comprising an anti-skid coating or lamination.
4 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 2 , wherein the top outer layer includes reverse printed matter.
5 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 4 , wherein the reverse printed matter is disposed between the top outer layer and the second layer.
6 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 1 , wherein the base inner-barrier layer is constructed of a food safe material.
7 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 1 , wherein an end edge further includes an easy-to-open seal.
8 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 1 , wherein the first end edge further includes an easy-to-open seal and the second end edge includes a gusseted seal.
9 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 1 , wherein the second layer further includes film-forming plastic resin strips woven together to form a net-like structure.
10 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 1 , wherein the perforations include a plurality of holes between 0.01 and 0.1 inches in diameter.
11 . A composite food packaging bag comprising:
a front side and a back side, the front side and the back side together defining an interior volume, the back side including a back seam having a first seam edge and a second seam edge;
the front side and the back side comprising:
a base layer including a polymer film; and
a second layer including a polymer woven layer comprising plastic resin strips forming a woven structure,
the base layer being bonded completely coextensively with one face of the woven structure;
the composite food packaging bag having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the base layer substantially defines an internal surface of the composite food packaging bag,
wherein the base layer provides a food-safe layer that protects the contents of the bag from contamination and from mixing with broken plastic resin strips,
wherein the base layer acts as a barrier to control humidity and moisture level of bag contents and the composition of gas in the bag, and
wherein the base layer forms a continuous barrier when the first seam edge is sealed to the second seam edge to form the back seam.
12 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 11 , further comprising a first edge end and a second edge end,
the composite food packaging bag being open along a second edge end to define an opening between the front side and the back side to an interior portion of the composite food packaging bag.
13 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 12 , further comprising a top outer layer including a polymer film laminated to the other face of the second layer, and wherein the perforations extend through the top outer layer.
14 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 12 , wherein the top outer layer includes reverse printed matter, and wherein the reverse printed matter is disposed between the top outer layer and the middle layer.
15 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 11 , wherein the top layer includes an anti-skid coating or lamination provided along the outer surface of the polymer film.
16 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 11 , wherein an end edge further includes an easy-to-open seal.
17 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 11 , wherein the first end edge further includes an easy-to-open seal and the second end edge includes a gusseted seal.
18 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 11 , wherein the second layer further includes film-forming plastic resin strips woven together to form a net-like structure.
19 . The composite food packaging bag of claim 11 , the bag further includes perforations through both the base layer and the second layer;
wherein the perforations include a plurality of holes between 0.01 and 0.1 inches in diameter.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
