Metrics assessment system for health, fitness and lifestyle behavioral management

Abstract

A software and hardware system is described that enables effective lifestyle management by providing a dynamic assessment of a user's physical and behavioral metrics via a high feedback ratio interface.

         19 . A lifestyle management system comprising:
 a first biometric hardware device associated with a first user, wherein the first biometric hardware device is configured to generate first user generated data that is stored in a database via a network and accessed from the database to generate at least one first user metric associated with the first user generated data;   a first user motivational profile stored in the database generated based at least in part on first user responses to a plurality of questions related to motivation; and   behavior management software configured to communicate with the database and to allow the first user to interact with an interactive interface based at least in part on the first user metric and the first user motivational profile.   
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the first user motivational profile is used to identify and group the first user. 
     
     
         21 . The system of  claim 20 , wherein the behavior management software is configured to generate one or more of a pattern or an expectation based on the first user motivational profile to guide the first user to achieve the goals of the first user. 
     
     
         22 . The system of  claim 19 , comprising:
 a second biometric hardware device associated with a second user, wherein the second biometric hardware device is configured to generate second user generated data that is stored in the database via a network and accessed from the database to generate at least one second user metric associated with the second user generated data; and   a second user motivational profile generated based at least in part on second user responses to the plurality of questions related to motivation.   
     
     
         23 . The system of  claim 22 , wherein the behavior management software is configured to allow the first user to compare the at least one first user metric with at least one second user metric associated with at least the second user. 
     
     
         24 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the plurality of questions related to motivation include at least four distinct questions. 
     
     
         25 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the first user motivational profile is selected from a plurality of distinct motivational profiles. 
     
     
         26 . The system of  claim 25 , wherein the plurality of motivational profiles includes at least sixteen distinct motivational profiles. 
     
     
         27 . The system of  claim 19 , further comprising obstacles stored in the database that have contributed to the first user failing to achieve a goal in the past. 
     
     
         28 . The system of  claim 27 , wherein the obstacles are organized into at least one obstacle group of a plurality of obstacle groups including one or more of social, information, constitution, or injury; and wherein plurality of obstacle groups are organized to create additional distinct obstacle profiles. 
     
     
         29 . A method of lifestyle management, the method comprising:
 receiving, using behavior management software, first user generated data from a first biometric hardware device associated with a first user;   storing, using the behavior management software, the first user generated data in a database via a network;   generating, using the behavior management software, at least one first user metric associated with the first user generated data;   receiving, by the behavior management software, a plurality of first user responses to a plurality of questions related to motivation;   accessing, using the behavior management software, the plurality of first user responses; and   generating, using the behavior management software, a first user motivational profile based at least in part on the plurality of first user responses to the plurality of questions related to motivation.   
     
     
         30 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein the first user motivational profile is used to identify and group the first user. 
     
     
         31 . The method of  claim 30 , further comprising generating, using the behavior management software, one or more of a pattern or an expectation based on the first user motivational profile to guide the first user to achieve the goals of the first user. 
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 29 , further comprising:
 receiving, using the behavior management software, second user generated data from a second biometric hardware device associated with a second user;   storing, using the behavior management software, the second user generated data from the second biometric hardware device in the database via the network;   generating, using the behavior management software, at least one second user metric associated with the second user generated data;   receiving, by the behavior management software, a plurality of second user responses to the plurality of questions related to motivation;   accessing, using the behavior management software, the plurality of second user responses; and   generating, using the behavior management software, a second user motivational profile based at least in part on the second user responses to the plurality of questions related to motivation.   
     
     
         33 . The method of  claim 32 , wherein the behavior management software is configured to allow the first user to interact with an interactive interface to compare the at least one first user metric with the least one second user metric associated with at least the second user. 
     
     
         34 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein the plurality of questions related to motivation includes at least four distinct questions. 
     
     
         35 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein the first user motivational profile is selected from a plurality of distinct motivational profiles. 
     
     
         36 . The method of  claim 35 , wherein the plurality of motivational profiles includes at least sixteen distinct motivational profiles. 
     
     
         37 . The method of  claim 29 , further comprising storing, in the database, obstacles that have contributed to the first user failing to achieve a goal in the past.

The method of  claim 37 , wherein the obstacles are organized into at least one obstacle group of a plurality of obstacle groups including one or more of social, information, constitution, or injury; and wherein plurality of obstacle groups are organized to create additional distinct obstacle profiles.
