Device and method for adaptively changing task-performing subjects

Abstract

Provided is an electronic device and method for receiving identification information about a mobile device from the mobile device, determining based on the identification information, the mobile device as a peer device for performing an operation of the electronic device along with, or instead of, the electronic device, and determining at least one from among the peer device and the electronic device, the determined at least one performing the operation of the electronic device, based on a condition of the electronic device.

1 . An electronic device comprising:
 a memory storing instructions; and   at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to:
 receive identification information about a mobile device from the mobile device, 
 determine based on the identification information, the mobile device as a peer device for performing an operation of the electronic device along with, or instead of, the electronic device, and 
 determine at least one from among the peer device and the electronic device based on a condition of the electronic device, the determined at least one performing the operation of the electronic device. 
   
     
     
         2 . The electronic device of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the operation comprises a receiving operation for receiving at least one from among a call and a message from a server to the electronic device, and   wherein, when the peer device is determined as the at least one that performs the receiving operation, a receiver change request including identification information of the peer device is transmitted to the server.   
     
     
         3 . The electronic device of  claim 2 ,
 wherein the condition of the electronic device comprises a pairing condition between the electronic device and the peer device, and   wherein, when the electronic device and the peer device become unpaired, the peer device is determined as the at least one that performs the receiving operation.   
     
     
         4 . The electronic device of  claim 2 ,
 wherein the condition of the electronic device comprises a remaining battery condition of the electronic device, and   wherein, when a remaining battery percentage of the electronic device is equal to or less than a predetermined value, the peer device is determined as the at least one that performs the receiving operation.   
     
     
         5 . The electronic device of  claim 2 ,
 wherein the condition of the electronic device comprises a movement condition of the electronic device, and   wherein, when the electronic device is not moved for equal to or more than a predetermined time period, the peer device is determined as the at least one that performs the receiving operation.   
     
     
         6 . The electronic device of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured execute the instructions to determine the at least one from among the peer device and the electronic device based on a condition of the peer device. 
     
     
         7 . The electronic device of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the operation comprises an installation operation for installing an application downloaded from a server to the electronic device, and   wherein, when the peer device is determined as the at least one that performs the installation operation, installation information of the application is transmitted to the peer device.   
     
     
         8 . The electronic device of  claim 7 , wherein the installation information is adaptive to an operating system (OS) of the peer device. 
     
     
         9 . The electronic device of  claim 7 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to execute the instructions to download, based on identification information of the peer device a mobile application, which corresponds to the application and an OS of the peer device and to transmit the mobile application to the peer device. 
     
     
         10 . The electronic device of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the operation comprises a search operation required by an application of the electronic device, and   wherein, when the peer device is determined as the at least one that performs the search operation, the at least one processor is further configured to execute the instructions to transmit a search characteristic for the search operation to the peer device and to receive result information of the search operation from the peer device, and to display the result information   
     
     
         11 . The electronic device of  claim 10 , wherein the search operation is performed by a mobile application corresponding to the application. 
     
     
         12 . The electronic device of  claim 10 , wherein the search characteristic is transmitted to the peer device which has a mobile application corresponding to the application. 
     
     
         13 . The electronic device of  claim 10 , wherein the search characteristic is transmitted to the peer device which has a function related to a searching category of the search characteristic. 
     
     
         14 . The electronic device of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the operation comprises an authentication operation that a server requires the electronic device to perform based on a web resource accessed by the electronic device,   wherein, when the peer device is determined as the at least one that performs the authentication operation, an authenticate change request including identification information of the peer device is transmitted to the server, and   wherein the authentication operation is performed based on authentication on the web resource, for the peer device.   
     
     
         15 . A mobile device comprising:
 a memory storing instructions; and   at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to:
 transmit identification information of the mobile device to an electronic device, and 
 perform, when the mobile device is determined based on a condition of the electronic device as a peer device for performing an operation of the electronic device along with, or instead of, the electronic device, the operation of the electronic device. 
   
     
     
         16 . The mobile device of  claim 15 ,
 wherein the condition of the electronic device comprises a pairing condition between the electronic device and the mobile device, and   wherein the at least one processor is further configured to execute the instructions to receive, when the electronic device and the mobile device become unpaired, at least one from among a call and a message to the electronic device.   
     
     
         17 . The mobile device of  claim 15 ,
 wherein the operation comprises an installation operation for installing an application downloaded from a server to the electronic device, and   wherein the at least one processor is further configured to execute the instructions to receive installation information of the application.   
     
     
         18 . The mobile device of  claim 15 ,
 wherein the operation comprises a search operation required by an application of the electronic device, and   wherein the at least one processor is further configured to execute the instructions to receive a search characteristic for the search operation from the electronic device and to transmit result information of the search operation to the electronic device.   
     
     
         19 . A method comprising:
 receiving by an electronic device identification information about a mobile device from the mobile device;   determining based on the identification information, the mobile device as a peer device for performing an operation of the electronic device along with, or instead of, the electronic device; and   determining at least one from among the peer device and the electronic device based on a condition of the electronic device, the determined at least one performing the operation of the electronic device.
