Abstract

An extendable luggage includes a first shell, a second shell, an annular strap, at least one extendable device and at least one guiding device. The annular strap connects the first shell with the second shell. The extendable device has a movable base disposed at the first shell, a fixed base disposed at the second shell and sleeved to the movable base, and a positioning mechanism connected with the fixed base and the movable base. When operation end of the positioning mechanism exposed from the first shell is actuated, the positioning mechanism is in an unlocked state where the movable base is moveable relative to the fixed base. When the operation end is actuated, the positioning mechanism is in an unlocked state where the movable base is moveable relative to the fixed base. As a result, user can extend the luggage uniformly according to demand to increase accommodating capacity thereof.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . An extendable luggage comprising:
 a first shell, having a first opening edge and at least one through hole; a second shell, having a second opening edge; an annular strap, two sides of which are respectively connected with the first opening edge and the second opening edge so as to connect the first shell with the second shell; at least one extendable device, having a movable base disposed at the first shell, a fixed base disposed at the second shell and sleeved to the movable base, and a positioning mechanism connected with the fixed base and the movable base, the positioning mechanism having an operation end exposed from the first shell through the through hole, wherein when the operation end is not actuated, the positioning mechanism is in a locked state where the movable base is not movable relative to the fixed base, and when the operation end is actuated, the positioning mechanism is in an unlocked state where the movable base is moveable relative to the fixed base; and at least one guiding device, having a movable tube disposed at the first shell and a fixed tube disposed at the second shell and sleeved to the movable tube.

         2 . The extendable luggage as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the fixed base has a tubular member disposed at the second shell and a plurality of positioning holes disposed at a wall of the tubular member;
 the movable base has an insertion tube accommodated in the tubular member, an outer base disposed at an outer end of the insertion tube, and an inner base disposed at an inner end of the insertion tube, the outer base is disposed at the first shell, the inner base has a first axial hole communicated with the insertion tube and a first radial hole communicated with the first axial hole and outside; the positioning mechanism has a pin member movable into and out of the first radial hole of the inner base, a first spring accommodated in the inner base and abutting against the pin member and an inner wall of the inner base respectively by two ends of the first spring, a connecting rod accommodated in the insertion tube and the axial hole of the inner base, and a toggle member pivotally connected with the outer base and penetrating though the through hole of the first shell; wherein the pin member inserts into one of the positioning holes at the tubular member, the pin member has a first guiding surface, the connecting rod has an inner end and an outer end, the inner end of the connecting rod has a second guiding surface abutting against the first guiding surface, the toggle member has an extending portion for pushing an outer end of the connecting rod, the toggle member forms the operation end of the positioning mechanism.

         3 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the pin member has a hollow portion, and the first guiding surface is located at an inner wall of the hollow portion.

         4 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the fixed base has two fixing members respectively disposed at two ends of the tubular member and fixed at an inner surface of the second shell.

         5 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the fixed base further has a first panel disposed at an outer surface of the second shell, and the first surface is connected with one of the fixing members.

         6 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the movable base further has a second panel disposed at an outer surface of the first shell, and the second panel is connected with the outer base, the second panel has a slot hole through which the toggle member extends.

         7 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the second panel has a protruded fringe located aside the slot hole.

         8 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a tube wall of the fixed tube has a plurality of positioning holes, a tube wall of the movable tube has a side hole, the movable tube further has a positioning member accommodated in the side hole and a second spring disposed in the movable tube, an end of the second spring pushes the positioning member, so that the positioning member is movable into one of the positioning holes of the fixed tube.

         9 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the movable tube has a tube portion and an end base disposed at an inner end of the tube portion, the end base has a second axial hole communicated with an inside of the tube portion and a second radial hole communicated with the second axial hole and outside, the second radial hole forms the side hole of the movable tube.

         10 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 1 , wherein two ends of the fixed tube are disposed at the second shell by two fixing members, respectively.

         11 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the movable tube has an inner end located in the fixed tube and an outer end disposed at the first shell by a fixing member.

         12 . The extendable luggage as claimed in claim 1 , further having a zip fastener located at a periphery of the annular strap; wherein two lateral sides of the zip fastener are respectively connected with the first opening edge and the second opening edge, so that the first shell is connected with the second shell.
