Multi-pieced bedding cover

Abstract

A bed covering and method of use is provided. The bed covering includes a Portion A and a Portion B, the Portion A having at least one layer of fabric, the Portion B having at least two layers of fabric forming a fabric shell with a cutout near the center of the upper layer where the cutout is hidden from view when Portions A and B are attached, holes in one or more corners configured to aid in insertion of an inner bed filling, and at least one releasably attached piece for attaching Portion B to Portion A.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A bed covering comprising:
 a Portion A and a Portion B;   the Portion A comprised of at least one layer of fabric;   the Portion B comprised of:
 at least two layers of fabric forming a fabric shell with a cutout near the center of the upper layer where the cutout is hidden from view when Portions A and B are attached; 
 holes in one or more corners configured to aid in insertion of an inner bed filling; and 
 at least one releasably attached piece for attaching Portion B to Portion A. 
   
     
     
         2 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein said Portion A and said Portion Bare releasably attached to each other. 
     
     
         3 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one releasable attachment piece includes at least one fastener. 
     
     
         4 . The bed covering of  claim 3 , wherein there are at least one additional portion in addition to Portions A and B. 
     
     
         5 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein Portion B further includes an inner lining. 
     
     
         6 . The bed covering as recited in  claim 5 , wherein the inner lining includes a poly stretch mesh material. 
     
     
         7 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one releasable attachment piece includes a system of buttons and buttonholes. 
     
     
         8 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein said the at least one releasable attachment piece includes at least one hook and loop fastener. 
     
     
         9 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein-the at least one releasable attachment piece includes at least one snap fastener. 
     
     
         10 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein there is at least one additional portion. 
     
     
         11 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein a length and width of Portion A and a length and width of the upper layer of Portion B are approximately equal. 
     
     
         12 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein Portion A is comprised of at least two layers of fabric. 
     
     
         13 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein the cutout in Portion B is polygon-shaped. 
     
     
         14 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein both Portion A and Portion B are substantially rectangularly shaped. 
     
     
         15 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein both the Portion A and Portion Bare made from hypoallergenic materials. 
     
     
         16 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein the fabric shell formed by Portion B is configured to hold a fabric selected from the group consisting of: a duvet; a blanker; and a comforter. 
     
     
         17 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein lengths and widths sizes of Portions A and B are scaled to fit Inner Bed Fillings of Twin, Full, Queen or King sizes. 
     
     
         18 . The bed covering of  claim 1 , wherein Portion A is interchangeable and in a variety of decorative fabrics to alter an overall appearance of the bedding cover system and Portion B is interchangeable and in a variety of decorative fabrics to alter the overall appearance of the bedding cover system. 
     
     
         19 . A method of simplifying laundering of bedding by using a bed cover system that comprises:
 a Portion A; and   a Portion B,
 wherein Portion A and Portion B are releaseably attached to each other, 
 wherein an inner bed filling is inserted into a lower cover portion by a cutout at or near a center of Portion B, and 
 wherein Portion B includes holes in one or more corners configured to aid in the insertion of the inner bed filling. 
   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein Portion B further includes an inner lining, and wherein the inner lining includes a poly stretch mesh material.
