Abstract

A wound cleansing assembly, which includes or is a wound cleansing cloth ( 1 ), having at least one carrier layer ( 2 ) and threads ( 3 ) disposed on the carrier layer ( 2 ) and protruding from the carrier ( 2 ), preferably made exclusively of synthetic fibers, preferably plastic fibers.

What is claimed and desired to be secured by Letters Patent is as follows: 
     
         1 . Wound cleaning assembly which comprises a wound cleansing cloth ( 1 ) having at least one supporting layer ( 2 ) and threads ( 3 ) arranged on the supporting layer ( 2 ) and protruding from the supporting layer ( 2 ), said threads comprising synthetic fibers, wherein at least some of the fibers have protruding ends ( 4 ) on the side thereof facing away from the supporting layer ( 2 ), the threads further comprising ends ( 4 ) or end surfaces which extend at an angle to the longitudinal axis ( 5 ) thereof. 
     
     
         2 . Wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the supporting layer ( 2 ), comprises synthetic fibers, wherein the synthetic fibers of the threads ( 3 ) or of the supporting layer ( 2 ), are made of polyester or polyamide or acrylic polymer and wherein, the angled thread ends or end surfaces are formed by cutting the threads. 
     
     
         3 . Wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the supporting layer ( 2 ) is coated with a coating compound. 
     
     
         4 . Wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the supporting layer ( 2 ) is a meshed fabric. 
     
     
         5 . Wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 4 , characterized in that the supporting layer ( 2 ) is coated with a reinforcing layer ( 6 ) connecting the mesh of the supporting layer ( 2 ). 
     
     
         6 . Wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 1 , characterized in that at least part of the threads ( 3 ) protruding from the supporting layer ( 2 ) or at least part of the supporting layer ( 2 ) comprise threads selected from the group consisting of pure silver threads, pure copper threads and synthetic threads having a silver coating or copper coating. 
     
     
         7 . Wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein the synthetic fibers of the supporting layer ( 2 ) or the synthetic fibers of the threads ( 3 ) protruding from the supporting layer ( 2 ) comprise nanoparticles adhering thereto or arranged thereon. 
     
     
         8 . Wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 1 , characterized in that the wound cleansing cloth ( 1 ) is arranged on or fastened to the supporting body ( 18 ) of the wound cleaning assembly. 
     
     
         9 . Wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 1 , characterized in that at least one reinforcing layer ( 6 ) is arranged in or on the supporting layer ( 2 ). 
     
     
         10 . Wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 2 , characterized in that synthetic fibers of the supporting layer ( 2 ) or the synthetic fibers of the threads ( 3 ) protruding from the supporting layer ( 2 ) are heat treated synthetic fibers. 
     
     
         11 . A method of use of synthetic fibers for manufacturing a wound cleansing assembly or a wound cleansing cloth ( 1 ) of a wound cleansing assembly according to  claim 1 , for cleansing of a wound or skin. 
     
     
         12 . A composition, comprising at least one wound cleansing cloth according to  claim 1 , wherein, the at least one wound cleansing cloth ( 1 ) is packed in a sterile manner in a sealed packaging ( 7 ). 
     
     
         13 . A method for manufacturing a wound cleansing assembly according  claim 1 , comprising: a) manufacturing two supporting layers ( 2 ) together in the form of meshed material having an intermediate layer ( 8 ) formed of the threads ( 3 ) extending between the two supporting layers ( 2 ); and b) cutting the threads ( 3 ) at a location between the two supporting layers ( 2 ). 
     
     
         14 . A method for manufacturing a wound cleansing assembly or a wound cleansing cloth according to  claim 1 , comprising: a) manufacture of a wound cleansing cloth with the supporting layer and threads made of synthetic fibers, wherein the synthetic threads protrude from the supporting layer, and b) subsequently cutting-off the protruding threads at an angle to the longitudinal axis thereof. 
     
     
         15 . Wound cleaning assembly which comprises a wound cleansing cloth ( 1 ) having at least one supporting layer ( 2 ) and threads ( 3 ) arranged on the supporting layer ( 2 ) and protruding from the supporting layer ( 2 ), said threads comprising synthetic fibers, wherein at least some of the fibers have protruding ends ( 4 ) on the side thereof facing away from the supporting layer ( 2 ), the threads further comprising ends ( 4 ) or end surfaces which extend at an angle to the longitudinal axis ( 5 ) thereof, wherein the threads form a pile arranged on and extending from the supporting layer and the pile having a pile height of between about 3 millimeters and 30 millimeters, wherein, the threads have a thread strength of between about 0.5 and 20 dtex and wherein, the wound cleansing cloth is packed in a sterile manner in a sealed packaging.
