Method of manufacturing arcuate blades for a broadhead

Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method of manufacturing an arcuate blade for a broadhead including: stamping a shape of a blade from a material, the blade having an inner and outer edge; grinding the inner edge of the blade to form a cutting edge; forming the blade into an arcuate shape; tempering the blade to harden the material; and electrolyzing the blade into a finished product.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A broadhead comprising: a body portion; and a plurality of removable blades having an arcuate shape causing each of the plurality of blades to have an inner side and an outer side, wherein a base portion of each of the plurality of removable blades is coupled to the body portion via a screw and further wherein at least one side of each of the plurality of removable blades has a sharpened edge extending substantially along a front portion of the plurality of removable blades wherein the arcuate shape of each of the plurality of blades forms a complete circle. 
     
     
         2 . The broadhead of  claim 1 , wherein a proximal end of the body portion is configured to attach to a removable tip and wherein a distal end of the body portion is configured to attach to a shaft of an arrow.

         4 . The broadhead of  claim 2 , wherein at least one of the proximal end of the body portion and the distal end of the body portion is threaded. 
     
     
         5 . A broadhead comprising: a body portion; and a plurality of removable blades having an arcuate shape causing each of the plurality of blades to have an inner side and an outer side, wherein a base portion of each of the plurality of removable blades is coupled to the body portion via a screw, and further wherein at least one side of each of the plurality of removable blades has a sharpened edge extending substantially along a front portion of the plurality of removable blades; wherein the arcuate shape of each of the plurality of blades forms a half circle. 
     
     
         6 . The broadhead of  claim 5 , wherein a proximal end of the body portion is configured to attach to a removable tip and wherein a distal end of the body portion is configured to attach to a shaft of an arrow.

         8 . The broadhead of  claim 6 , wherein at least one of the proximal end of the body portion and the distal end of the body portion is threaded.

A broadhead comprising: a body portion; and a plurality of removable blades having an arcuate shape causing each of the plurality of blades to have an inner side and an outer side, wherein a base portion of each of the plurality of removable blades is coupled to the body portion via a screw, and further wherein at least one side of each of the plurality of removable blades has a sharpened edge extending substantially along a front portion of the plurality of removable blades; wherein the arcuate shape of each of the plurality of blades forms a three-quarter circle. 
     
     
         10 . The broadhead of  claim 9 , wherein a proximal end of the body portion is configured to attach to a removable tip and wherein a distal end of the body portion is configured to attach to a shaft of an arrow.

A broadhead comprising: a body portion having a plurality of blades coupled thereto via a screw, wherein each of the plurality of blades have an arcuate shape, wherein at least one side of each of the plurality of blades has a sharpened edge extending substantially along a front side of each of the plurality of blades; wherein the arcuate shape of each of the plurality of blades forms a complete circle. 
     
     
         14 . The broadhead of  claim 13 , wherein a distal end of the body portion is configured to attach to a shaft of an arrow. 
     
     
         15 . The broadhead of  claim 14 , wherein the distal end of the body portion is threaded. 
     
     
         16 . A broadhead comprising: a body portion having a plurality of blades coupled thereto via a screw, wherein each of the plurality of blades have an arcuate shape, wherein at least one side of each of the plurality of blades has a sharpened edge extending substantially along a front side of each of the plurality of blades; wherein the arcuate shape of each of the plurality of blades forms a half circle. 
     
     
         17 . The broadhead of  claim 16 , wherein a distal end of the body portion is configured to attach to a shaft of an arrow. 
     
     
         18 . The broadhead of  claim 17 , wherein the distal end of the body portion is threaded. 
     
     
         19 . A broadhead comprising: a body portion having a plurality of blades coupled thereto via a screw, wherein each of the plurality of blades have an arcuate shape, wherein at least one side of each of the plurality of blades has a sharpened edge extending substantially along a front side of each of the plurality of blades; wherein the arcuate shape of each of the plurality of blades forms a three-quarter circle.

A broadhead comprising: a body portion having a plurality of blades coupled thereto via a screw, wherein each of the plurality of blades have an arcuate shape, wherein at least one side of each of the plurality of blades has a sharpened edge extending substantially along a front side of each of the plurality of blades; wherein each of the plurality of blades have at least two opposing blade portions, wherein the two opposing blade portions arcuately extend from a center portion of each of the plurality to form a rounded portion of the arcuate shape.

A broadhead comprising: a body portion; and a plurality of blades extending from the body portion and coupled to the body portion via a screw, wherein each of the plurality of blades comprise: two opposing blade portions extending in opposite directions from a middle portion of each of the plurality of blades, wherein each of the two opposing blade portions arcuately extend toward the other blade portion, and further wherein each of the two opposing blade portions has at least one sharpened edge. 
     
     
         26 . The broadhead of  claim 25 , wherein the two opposing blade portions form a substantially complete circular shape. 
     
     
         27 . The broadhead of  claim 25 , wherein the two opposing blade portions form a complete circular shape. 
     
     
         28 . The broadhead of  claim 25 , wherein the at least one sharpened edge extends at least substantially along proximate edge of each of the two opposing blade portions. 
     
     
         29 . The broadhead of  claim 25 , wherein each of the plurality of blades are removable. 
     
     
         30 . The broadhead of  claim 25 , wherein the body portion includes a removable tip.
