Claims

Abstract

The present invention enhances a golf tournament using novel tournament rules that include allowing proficient players to interact with other players, more particularly, professional players to affect the outcome of the tournament. After teams are created the game a best ball is played at the first day, a low and aggregate ball is played on the second day and a worse ball is played on the last day. At the end of the tournament the team with the lowest score wins.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for a golf tournament consisting of:
 at least a golf course;   at least two persons per team, wherein the players of said teams are selected by a blind draw;   at least a three day event including a first day, a second day and a third day,   wherein said first day comprises the steps of playing a first set of holes generating a first day lowest score and a first day highest score and entering for the first day lowest score of the team members for a first set of holes,   wherein said second day comprises the steps of playing a second set of holes and generating a second day lowest score and a second day highest score, entering the second day lowest score and the second day highest score and adding again the lowest score,   wherein said third day comprises the steps of playing a third set of holes generating a third day lowest score and a third day highest score and entering for each team the third day highest score of the team members for said third set of holes of the tournament; and   totaling the scores entered for each team for said first day, second day and third day and determining the winner of the tournament to be the team with the lowest total score.   
     
     
         2 . The method for a golf tournament according to  claim 1 , wherein said first set of holes comprises holes selected from a first group of 9 holes and 18 holes. 
     
     
         3 . The method for a golf tournament according to  claim 1 , wherein said second set of holes comprises holes selected from a second group of 9 holes and 18 holes. 
     
     
         4 . The method for a golf tournament according to  claim 1 , wherein said third set of holes comprises holes selected from a third group of 9 holes and 18 holes. 
     
     
         5 . The method for a golf tournament according to  claim 1 , wherein said second set of holes is different from the third set of holes. 
     
     
         6 . The method for a golf tournament according to  claim 1 , wherein said first set of holes is different from the third set of holes. 
     
     
         7 . The method for a golf tournament according to  claim 1 , wherein said second set of holes is different from the first set of holes.
