Abstract

A fingernail polishing assembly for sanding fingernails and toenails includes a vibration unit that may be manipulated. A sander is removably coupled to the vibration unit. The sander may frictionally engage a nail when the vibration unit is manipulated. Thus, the sander may sand the nail.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

         1 . A fingernail polishing assembly comprising:
a vibration unit being configured to be manipulated; and a sander being removably coupled to said vibration unit wherein said sander is configured to frictionally engage a nail when said vibration unit is manipulated thereby facilitating said sander to sand the nail.

2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said vibration unit comprises:
a housing having a first wall; and a motor being positioned within said housing.

3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , further comprising a shaft being coupled to said motor such that said motor moves said shaft in an orbit, said shaft having a distal end with respect to said motor, said shaft extending through said first wall having said distal end being exposed with respect to said housing.

4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , further comprising a plate having a first surface and a peripheral edge, said first surface being coupled to said distal end of said shaft such that said plate moves in said orbit when said motor moves said shaft.

5 . The assembly according to claim 2 , further comprising at least one switch being coupled to said housing wherein said at least one switch is configured to be manipulated, said at least one switch being electrically coupled to said motor such that said at least one switch turns said motor on and off.

6 . The assembly according to claim 2 , further comprising a power cord being electrically coupled to said motor, said power cord extending outwardly from said housing, said power cord having a distal end with respect to said housing, said distal end having a plug being electrically coupled thereto wherein said plug is configured to be electrically coupled to a power source.

7 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said vibration unit includes a plate, said plate having a peripheral edge; and said sander comprises a tray having a top surface and a bottom surface, said bottom surface having a well extending toward said top surface, said top surface having a lip extending upwardly therefrom, said lip being continuous such that said lip forms a circular shape, said lip being centrally positioned on said tray, said lip frictionally engaging said peripheral edge on said plate when said sander is removably coupled to said vibration unit such that said tray is retained on said plate.

8 . The assembly according to claim 7 , further comprising a plurality of pads, each of said pads having a primary surface and a secondary surface, a selected one of said pads being positioned in said well on said tray having said primary surface abutting said tray, said secondary surface being textured wherein said secondary surface is configured to abrade the nail when said sander frictionally engages the nail.

9 . The assembly according to claim 8 , wherein each of said pads has an adhesive layer being positioned on said primary surface, said adhesive layer adhesively engaging said tray when said selected pad is positioned in said well such that said selected pad is retained on said tray.

         10 . A fingernail polishing assembly comprising:
a vibration unit being configured to be manipulated, said vibration unit comprising:
a housing having a first wall,
a motor being positioned within said housing,
a shaft being coupled to said motor such that said motor moves said shaft in an orbit, said shaft having a distal end with respect to said motor, said shaft extending through said first wall having said distal end being exposed with respect to said housing,
a plate having a first surface and a peripheral edge, said first surface being coupled to said distal end of said shaft such that said plate moves in said orbit when said motor moves said shaft,
at least one switch being coupled to said housing wherein said at least one switch is configured to be manipulated, said at least one switch being electrically coupled to said motor such that said at least one switch turns said motor on and off, and
a power cord being electrically coupled to said motor, said power cord extending outwardly from said housing, said power cord having a distal end with respect to said housing, said distal end having a plug being electrically coupled thereto wherein said plug is configured to be electrically coupled to a power source; and
a sander being removably coupled to said vibration unit wherein said sander is configured to frictionally engage a nail when said vibration unit is manipulated thereby facilitating said sander to sand the nail, said sander comprising:
a tray having a top surface and a bottom surface, said bottom surface having a well extending toward said top surface, said top surface having a lip extending upwardly therefrom, said lip being continuous such that said lip forms a circular shape, said lip being centrally positioned on said tray, said lip frictionally engaging said peripheral edge on said plate when said sander is removably coupled to said vibration unit such that said tray is retained on said plate,
a plurality of pads, each of said pads having a primary surface and a secondary surface, a selected one of said pads being positioned in said well on said tray having said primary surface abutting said tray said secondary surface being textured wherein said secondary surface is configured to abrade the nail when said sander frictionally engages the nail, each of said pads having an adhesive layer being positioned on said primary surface, said adhesive layer adhesively engaging said tray when said selected pad is positioned in said well such that said selected pad is retained on said tray.
