Methods and Systems for Generating and Using Simulated 3D Images
Abstract
A three-dimensional image simulation device for managing a live event comprising an image capturing device for capturing live captured data corresponding to a presenter and generating, in real-time, hologram data based on the live captured data. An output interface for broadcasting the hologram data in real-time to at least one additional location containing an audience, wherein the hologram data is used to create a hologram of the presenter at the at least one additional location based on an apparent parallax effect in a simulated three-dimensional display device, the hologram creating a three-dimensional illusion for the audience regarding actual presence of the presenter at the at least one additional location. Furthermore, an input interface for receiving audience data from the at least one additional location regarding interaction between the hologram and the audience and a display device for displaying images based on audience data to the presenter.

21 . A method for providing targeted advertising, comprising:
receiving image data for displaying a simulated three dimensional (3D) image at an advertising location; displaying, on a front display device, a first image associated with the simulated 3D image at the advertising location, wherein the front display device is transparent; displaying, on a background display device, a second image associated with the simulated 3D image at the advertising location, wherein the background display device is a high-brightness video display; synchronizing displaying of the first image and second image to provide a parallax effect for displaying the simulated 3D image at the advertising location; capturing viewer interaction data related to a viewer's interaction with the simulated 3D image, wherein the viewer interaction data includes an amount of time that the viewer spends in the vicinity of the simulated 3D image; transmitting viewer interaction data for updating a viewer profile associated with the viewer based on the captured viewer interaction data; updating the viewer profile indicating interest of the viewer in the displayed simulated 3D image when an amount of the time that the viewer spends in the vicinity of the simulated 3D image is greater than a predetermined threshold amount of time; receiving target advertisement data generated based on the viewer profile; displaying the target advertisement data using the front display device and the background display device; and transmitting the target advertisement data to a user device associated with the viewer, wherein said background display device-is parallel to, and co-planar with said front display device, and extends 20% beyond the sides of the front panel display.
22 . (canceled)
23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein target advertisement data is generated for maintaining interest of the viewer based on the viewer's characteristics, demographic profile, or previous behavior.
24 . (canceled)
25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein capturing the viewer interaction data may comprise one or more of:
capturing data related to behavior of the viewer; and capturing data for determining characteristics of the viewer.

27 . (canceled)
28 . The method of claim 25 , wherein the characteristics of the viewer may include one or more of age, gender, height, and weight.
29 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the image data comprises of images related to a first program material and a second program material and the front display device is arranged to display a first respective image of the first program material which is to be observed by a viewer, and the background display device is arranged to display a second respective image of the second program material which is to be observed by the viewer.
30 . The method of claim 29 , wherein said first program material and the second program material are edited and synchronized one with the other so respective images from the background display device appear to be interrelated to, or merge into, the program material on the front display device to provide a simulated 3D viewing experience.

37 . A simulated three-dimensional display device for displaying targeted advertising, comprising:
at least one processor configured to receive image data; a front display device; and a background display device, wherein said front display device and said background display device are separated to provide an apparent parallax effect between images from the image data that are displayed on the front display device and the said background display device respectively, and wherein said front display device is transparent and said background display device is a high-brightness video display device and said background display device-is parallel to, and co-planar with said front display device, and extends 20% beyond the sides of the front panel display, wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:
capture viewer interaction data related to a viewer's interaction with the simulated 3D image, the viewer interaction data including an amount of time that the viewer spends in the vicinity of the simulated 3D image;
transmit the captured user interaction data to update a viewer profile associated with the viewer based on the captured viewer interaction data when an amount of the time that the viewer spends in the vicinity of the simulated 3D image is greater than a predetermined threshold amount of time; and
receive targeted advertising generated based on the updated user profile.
38 . The device of claim 37 , wherein the image data comprises of images related to a first program material and a second program material and the front display device is arranged to display a first respective image of the first program material which is to be observed by a viewer, and the background display device is arranged to display a second respective image of the second program material which is to be observed by the viewer.
39 . The device of claim 37 , wherein said first program material and the second program material are edited and synchronized one with the other so respective images from the background display device appear to be interrelated to, or merge into, the program material on the front display device to provide a simulated 3D viewing experience.
