Abstract
There are disclosed alpha4beta7 heterodimer-specific antigen binding proteins, nucleic acids encoding them, and methods of making and using them.

A method for the production of an antigen binding protein comprising culturing a host cell under conditions promoting expression and recovering the protein from the culture medium, wherein said host cell is transfected or transformed with a vector comprising a nucleic acid encoding the antigen binding protein, and wherein said antigen binding protein is selected from the group consisting of
(a) an alpha4beta7 heterodimer specific antigen binding protein having a heavy chain variable region comprising CDR1, CDR2 and CDR3 from SEQ ID NO:37, and a light chain variable region comprising CDR1, CDR2 and CDR3 from SEQ ID NO:9; and (b) the heterodimer specific antigen binding protein of (a), wherein the light chain variable region is at least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO:9, and the heavy chain variable region is at least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO:37.

A method for the production of an antigen binding protein comprising culturing a host cell under conditions promoting expression and recovering the protein from the culture medium, wherein said host cell is transfected or transformed with a vector comprising a nucleic acid encoding the antigen binding protein, and wherein said antigen binding protein is selected from the group consisting of
(a) an alpha4beta7 heterodimer specific antigen binding protein having a heavy chain variable region comprising CDR1, CDR2 and CDR3 from SEQ ID NO:52, and a light chain variable region comprising CDR1, CDR2 and CDR3 from SEQ ID NO:21; and (b) the heterodimer specific antigen binding protein of (a), wherein the light chain variable region is at least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO:21, and the heavy chain variable region is at least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO:52.
