Abstract

A system for implementing inquiry callback and information update services including a computer system having a miss call solution database. The computer system is configured to intercept an incoming call from a caller inquiring about a service, identify and log information corresponding to the caller, terminate the incoming call without interacting with the caller, and provide a miss call solution from the miss call solution database to the identified caller. The miss call solution including information corresponding to the service.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A system for implementing inquiry callback and information update services comprising:
a computer system including a miss call solution database; wherein the computer system is configured to:
intercept an incoming call from a caller inquiring about a service,
identify and log information corresponding to the caller,
terminate the incoming call without interacting with the caller nor with a called party or a called device, and
provide a miss call solution from the miss call solution database to the identified caller, the miss call solution including information corresponding to the service.

2 . The system of claim 1 wherein the incoming call is terminated after one ring.

3 . The system of claim 1 wherein an interface unit for managing call traffic between the computer system and the caller comprises Primary Rate Interface (PRI) hardware.

4 . The system of claim 1 wherein an interface unit for managing call traffic between the computer system and the caller comprises a GSM to PRI gateway.

5 . The system of claim 1 wherein the miss call solution is provided via a miss call IVR software solution module integrated with a bulk SMS service, and a campaign solution database.

6 . The system of claim 1 wherein the miss call solution is provided via a miss call IVR software solution module integrated with callback service, and a miss call solution database.

7 . The system of claim 6 wherein the callback service comprises a pre-recorded message.

8 . The system of claim 6 wherein the callback service comprises a live agent.

9 . A non-transitory computer readable medium including program code that when executed by a processor instructs the processor to perform the following steps:
intercept an incoming call from a caller inquiring about a service, identify and log information corresponding to the caller, terminate the incoming call without interacting with the caller nor with a called party or a called device, provide a miss call solution from the non-transitory computer readable medium to the identified caller, the miss call solution including information corresponding to the service.

10 . The system of claim 9 wherein the incoming call is terminated after one ring.

11 . The system of claim 9 wherein an interface unit for managing call traffic between the processor and the caller comprises Primary Rate Interface (PRI) hardware.

12 . The system of claim 9 wherein an interface unit for managing call traffic between the processor and the caller comprises a GSM to PRI gateway.

13 . The system of claim 9 wherein the miss call solution is provided via a miss call IVR software solution module integrated with a bulk SMS service, and a miss call solution database.

14 . The system of claim 9 wherein an SMS gateway comprising a generic GSM modem is controlled by the processor to send pre-defined SMS text messages to the caller as the miss call solution.

15 . The system of claim 9 wherein the miss call solution is provided via a miss call IVR software solution module integrated with callback service, and a miss call solution database.

16 . The system of claim 15 wherein the callback service comprises a pre-recorded message.

17 . The system of claim 15 wherein the callback service comprises a live agent.

         18 - 20 . (canceled)

         21 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein prior to intercepting the incoming call, the incoming call is forwarded from a remote location device over the internet to a base location device, and the base location device then forwards the incoming call to the computer system.

         22 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein prior to intercepting the incoming call, the incoming call is forwarded from a client phone number to a new phone number associated with the computer system for implementing inquiry callback, in response to the client implementing a call forwarding rule.

         23 . The system of claim 1 , including:
a visual display for displaying updates or notifications via web application software on a computer or via a smart phone application.

         24 . The system of claim 1 ,
wherein a call is received from a mobile device, and wherein the computer system is further configured to get a caller's geo-location from a mobile service provider using a_GPS API when the caller agrees to geo-location monitoring.

25 . A method for implementing inquiry callback and information update services comprising a computer system configured to:
intercept an incoming call from a caller inquiring about a service, identify and legging log information corresponding to the caller, terminate the incoming call without interacting with the caller nor with a called party or a called device, and provide a miss call solution from a miss call solution database to the identified caller, the miss call solution including information corresponding to the service.

26 . The method of claim 25 comprising terminating the incoming call after one ring.
