Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for dispensing false eyelashes from an apparatus, said method comprising the steps of a user advancing tape, said tape carrying a plurality of false eyelashes in a direction toward the dispensing tip of said apparatus, said apparatus comprising an upper and lower clamp, and said lower clamp being in an open position as said tape is advanced; said user halting advancement of said tape when one of said false eyelashes is sufficiently exposed for application by a user; said user positioning said lower clamp into a closed position which holds said false eyelash in a substantially fixed position for application to said user's eyelid; and said user applying said false eyelash to said user's eyelid.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method for dispensing false eyelashes from an apparatus, said method comprising the steps of:
 a) a user advancing tape, said tape carrying a plurality of false eyelashes in a direction toward the dispensing tip of said apparatus, said apparatus comprising an upper and lower clamp, and said lower clamp being in an open position as said tape is advanced; b) said user halting advancement of said tape when one of said false eyelashes is sufficiently exposed for application by a user; c) said user positioning said lower clamp into a closed position which holds said false eyelash in a substantially fixed position for application to said user's eyelid; and d) said user applying said false eyelash to said user's eyelid.

2 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein said lower clamp is closed by a user activating a first button and said lower clamp is opened by said user activating a second button.

3 . A method according to claim 2 , wherein each of said first and second buttons comprises a tactile surface.

4 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein said apparatus comprises an eyelet, said eyelet being positioned such that said tape is visible through said eyelet, and wherein said eyelet comprises an alignment indicia.

5 . A method according to claim 4 , wherein said tape comprises a plurality of lines, said lines being perpendicular to said direction of said advancing tape, and said lines being spaced such that alignment of one of said lines with said alignment indicia indicates to said user that at least one of said eyelashes is sufficiently exposed for application by a user.

6 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein the distance between said upper and lower clamp is less than about 1 cm when said lower clamp is in a closed position.
