Claims

Abstract

A resistance band is provided comprising an elastic main body, a first plurality of apertures located closer to a first end of the main body than a second end, and a second plurality of apertures located closer to the second end than the first end. The first plurality of apertures and/or the second plurality of apertures may include a hand aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a hand therein. One or more digit apertures may be arranged adjacent to each hand aperture.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A resistance band comprising:
 an elastic main body having an elongated shape, the main body including a first end and a second end opposite to the first end;   a first plurality of apertures disposed closer to the first end of the main body than the second end, the first plurality of apertures including a first hand aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a first hand, and a first digit aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a first digit of the first hand; and   a second plurality of apertures disposed closer to the second end of the main body than the first end, the second plurality of apertures including a second hand aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a second hand, and a second digit aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a second digit of the second hand.   
     
     
         2 . The resistance band of  claim 1 , wherein the first digit aperture is adjacent to the first hand aperture, and the second digit aperture is adjacent to the second hand aperture. 
     
     
         3 . The resistance band of  claim 2 , the main body further including a first side edge extending along a length of the main body between the first end and the second end, wherein the first digit aperture is disposed between the first hand aperture and the first side edge, and wherein the second digit aperture is disposed between the second hand aperture and the first side edge. 
     
     
         4 . The resistance band of  claim 3 , wherein the first plurality of apertures further includes a third digit aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a second digit of the first hand, and wherein the second plurality of apertures further includes a fourth digit aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a second digit of the second hand. 
     
     
         5 . The resistance band of  claim 3 , wherein the first plurality of apertures further includes a plurality of first digit apertures each sized and shaped to allow insertion of a single digit of the first hand, wherein the second plurality of apertures further includes a plurality of second digit apertures each sized and shaped to allow insertion of a single digit of the second hand. 
     
     
         6 . The resistance band of  claim 5 , wherein the plurality of first digit apertures are consecutively arranged in a length direction of the main body, and wherein the plurality of second digit apertures are consecutively arranged in the length direction of the main body. 
     
     
         7 . The resistance band of  claim 6 , wherein the third digit aperture is positioned closer to a midpoint of the main body than the plurality of first digit apertures and spaced apart from the first hand aperture and the plurality of first digit apertures, the fourth digit aperture is positioned closer to the midpoint than the plurality of second digit apertures and spaced apart from the second hand aperture and the plurality of second digit apertures, and the midpoint of the main body is equidistant from both the first end and the second end in the length direction of the main body. 
     
     
         8 . The resistance band of  claim 3 , wherein the first digit aperture has an elongated shape sized to allow insertion of more than one digit of the first hand, the second digit aperture has an elongated shape sized to allow insertion of more than one digit of the second hand. 
     
     
         9 . The resistance band of  claim 8 , wherein the third digit aperture is positioned closer to a midpoint of the main body than the first digit aperture, the fourth digit aperture is positioned closer to the midpoint than the second digit aperture, and the midpoint of the main body is equidistant from both the first end and the second end in the length direction of the main body. 
     
     
         10 . The resistance band of  claim 2 , wherein one of the first digit aperture and the first hand aperture is located closer to the first end in the length direction of the main body than an other of the first digit aperture and the first hand aperture, and one of the second digit aperture and the second hand aperture is located closer to the second end in the length direction of the main body than an other of the second digit aperture and the second hand aperture. 
     
     
         11 . The resistance band of  claim 10 , wherein the main body further includes a first side edge extending along a length of the main body between the first end and the second end, the first plurality of apertures further includes a third digit aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a second digit of the first hand, the second plurality of apertures further includes a fourth digit aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a second digit of the second hand, the third digit aperture is positioned closer to the first side edge than the first digit aperture in the first hand aperture, and the fourth digit aperture is positioned closer to the first side edge than the second digit aperture and the second hand aperture. 
     
     
         12 . The resistance band of  claim 10 , wherein the first plurality of apertures further includes a plurality of first digit apertures, the second plurality of apertures further includes a plurality of second digit apertures, one of the plurality of first digit apertures and the first hand aperture being located closer to the first end in the length direction of the main body than an other of the plurality of first digit apertures and the first hand aperture, and one of the plurality of second digit apertures and the second hand aperture is located closer to the second end in the length direction of the main body than an other of the plurality of second digit apertures and the second hand aperture. 
     
     
         13 . The resistance band of  claim 12 , wherein the plurality of first digit apertures are consecutively arranged in a width direction of the main body, and wherein the plurality of second digit apertures are consecutively arranged in the width direction of the main body. 
     
     
         14 . The resistance band of  claim 10 , wherein the first digit aperture has an elongated shape sized to allow insertion more than one digit of the first hand, the second digit aperture has an elongated shape sized to allow insertion of more than one digit of the second hand, the elongated shape of the first digit aperture extending in a width direction of the main body, and the elongated shape of the second digit aperture extending in the width direction of the main body. 
     
     
         15 . A resistance band comprising:
 an elastic main body having an elongated shape, the main body including a first end and a second end opposite to the first end;   a first plurality of apertures disposed closer to the first end of the main body than the second end, the first plurality of apertures including a first hand aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a first hand, and a plurality of first finger apertures each sized and shaped to allow insertion of a finger of the first hand; and   a second plurality of apertures disposed closer to the second end of the main body than the first end, the second plurality of apertures including a second hand aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a second hand, and a plurality of second finger apertures each sized and shaped to allow insertion of a finger of the second hand   
     
     
         16 . The resistance band of  claim 15 , wherein the plurality of first finger apertures are consecutively arranged in a length direction of the main body, and the plurality of second finger apertures are consecutively arranged in the length direction of the main body. 
     
     
         17 . The resistance band of  claim 16 , the main body further including a first side edge extending along a length of the main body between the first end and the second end, wherein each of the plurality of first digit apertures are disposed between the first hand aperture and the first side edge, and wherein each of the second digit apertures are disposed between the second hand aperture and the first side edge. 
     
     
         18 . The resistance band of  claim 17 , wherein the plurality of first hand apertures includes a first thumb aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a thumb of the first hand, and the plurality of second hand apertures includes a second thumb aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a thumb of the second hand. 
     
     
         19 . The resistance band of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 a third plurality of apertures disposed between the first plurality of apertures and the second plurality of apertures, the third plurality of apertures including a third hand aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of the first hand, and a third plurality of digit apertures each sized and shaped to allow insertion of a finger the first hand.   
     
     
         20 . The resistance band of  claim 19 , further comprising:
 a fourth plurality of apertures disposed between the first plurality of apertures and the second plurality of apertures, the fourth plurality of apertures including a fourth hand aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of the second hand, and a fourth plurality of digit apertures each sized and shaped to allow insertion of a finger of the second hand.   
     
     
         21 . The resistance band of  claim 20 , wherein the third plurality of apertures is closer to the first end than the second end, and the fourth plurality of apertures is closer to the second end than the first end. 
     
     
         22 . The resistance band of  claim 15 , wherein the plurality of first finger apertures are consecutively arranged along the width direction of the main body, and the plurality of second finger apertures are consecutively arranged along the width direction of the main body. 
     
     
         23 . A resistance band comprising:
 an elastic main body having an elongated shape, the main body including a first end and a second end opposite to the first end;   a first plurality of apertures disposed on a first side of the main body closer to the first end than the second end, the first plurality of apertures including a first hand aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a first hand, a first digit aperture disposed between the first hand aperture and the first end, and a second digit aperture disposed between the first hand aperture and the second end, the first digit aperture and the second digit aperture each sized and shaped to allow insertion of a finger of the first hand; and   a second plurality of apertures disposed on a second side of the main body closer to the second end than the first end, the second plurality of apertures including a second hand aperture sized and shaped to allow insertion of a second hand, a third digit aperture disposed between the second hand aperture and the second end, and a fourth digit aperture disposed between the second hand aperture and the first end, the third digit aperture and the fourth digit aperture each sized and shaped to allow insertion of a finger of the second hand.   
     
     
         24 . The resistance band of  claim 23 , further comprising a first side edge extending along a length of the main body between the first end and the second end, wherein the first plurality of apertures further includes at least one fifth digit aperture disposed between the first hand aperture and the first side edge, and the second plurality of apertures further includes at least one sixth digit aperture disposed between the second hand aperture and the first side edge. 
     
     
         25 . The resistance band of  claim 24 , wherein the first digit aperture, the second digit aperture, and the at least one fifth digit aperture are concentrically arranged around the first hand aperture, and the third digit aperture, the fourth digit aperture, and the at least one sixth digit aperture are concentrically arranged around the second hand aperture.
