Abstract

A control method of a home appliance, the method including retrieving information about a communication device, authenticating the communication device, registering the authenticated communication device, receiving voice data from the registered communication device, outputting a voice signal corresponding to the received voice data to a user, receiving the voice signal from the user, and transmitting voice data corresponding to the received voice signal to the communication device. When the method is used, even if a user loses a communication device in a home, call is possible using a home appliance such as refrigerator.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A control method of a home appliance, the method comprising:
 retrieving information about a communication device;   authenticating the communication device using the information;   registering the authenticated communication device;   receiving identification information of a receiver that receives a call request when the user inputs the call request;   making a call to the receiver through the communication device in response to receiving the identification information of the receiver;   receiving a first voice data from the authenticated communication device, the first voice data being received from another communication device through the communication device;   outputting a first voice signal corresponding to the first voice data to a user;   receiving a second voice signal from the user; and   transmitting a second voice data corresponding to the second voice signal to the communication device, the second voice data being transmitted to the another communication device through the communication device.
