Abstract
A pinless power coupling arrangement comprises at least one pin-less power jack, the power jack comprising a primary coil shielded behind an insulating layer for inductive coupling to a pin-less power plug. The power plug comprises a secondary coil wherein said insulating layer is substantially flat and the power plug and the power jack may be aligned by an alignment means. Various such alignment means are discussed as are enabled surfaces for supporting inductive power jacks and inductive plugs coupled to various appliances.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 44 . (canceled)
45 . A primary unit, operable to inductively power a secondary coil, the primary unit comprising a power surface, wherein the power surface comprises a plurality of primary coils layers, wherein each layer comprises at least one primary coil, wherein the primary coils of a layer of the plurality of layers partially overlap with primary coils of the layer's neighboring layers, and wherein the primary unit is configured to activate a portion of primary coils which are located near the secondary coil placed upon the power surface.
46 . The primary unit of claim 45 , wherein each primary coils layer of the plurality of primary coils layers is shielded behind by an insulating layer.
47 . The primary unit of claim 45 , wherein the portion of pinless power jacks primary coils which are located near the secondary coil are selected from at least one layer.
48 . The primary unit of claim 45 , wherein the primary unit is configured to deactivate the portion of primary coils pinless power jacks and reactivate another portion of pinless power jacks upon movement of the secondary coil.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
