Abstract

A system and method for generating, presenting, transferring, and tracking personal, product, organizational information or the like as a microsite that mimics the look and feel of a business card in a manner that is adaptive to the platform on which the microsite displays. A microsite may be associated with a product, person, organization or other entity, and may be grouped together with other microsites in various associations. Share activity of the microsites between users may be tracked to generated share analytics on the shared microsites.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method for adaptive distribution of information, the method comprising:
storing, by a server, microsite information for a first microsite; determining, by the server, a platform of a device for reproducing the first microsite; and generating, by the server, the first microsite based on the platform of the device, wherein the first microsite is associated with a unique identifier identifying the first microsite, and wherein the first microsite is associated with the same unique identifier for all platforms.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, by the server, the unique identifier from the device; and transmitting, by the server, the first microsite generated based on the platform of the device to the device.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first micro site is generated based on each of a plurality of different platforms before the receipt of the unique identifier from the device, and the first microsite generated based on the platform of the device is transmitted to the device in response to the receipt of the unique identifier from the device.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least one visual aspect of the first microsite generated based on the platform of the device is different from at least one visual aspect of the first microsite generated based on a different platform.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least one functional aspect of the first microsite generated based on the platform of the device is different from at least one functional aspect of the first microsite generated based on a different platform.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the platform includes at least one of a type of the device, a type of an operating system of the device and a type of web browser of the device.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of generating the first microsite based on the platform of the device includes providing at least one software application for performing a functional aspect of the first microsite by at accessing at least one of hardware and software of the platform of the device.

8 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising:
transmitting, by the server, the first microsite to the device; transmitting, by the server, the software application to the device after the first microsite is transmitted to the device in response to a user of the device accessing the functional aspect of the first microsite.

9 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, by the server, platform information identifying the platform of the device with the unique identifier identifying the first microsite.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein if the unique identifier of the first microsite is received without platform information identifying the platform of the device, the platform of the device is determined to be a predetermined platform and the first microsite is generated based on the predetermined platform.

11 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
registering, by the server, a user; providing, by the server, a microsite creation interface for creating a microsite; receiving, by the server, at least a portion of the microsite information for the first microsite from the user through the microsite creation interface; storing, by the server, the microsite information for the first microsite and assigning the unique identifier to the first microsite; and associating, by the server, the user with the unique identifier of the first microsite.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the registered user is associated with a plurality of different unique identifiers of a plurality of different microsites.

13 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, by the server, share analysis information if the first microsite is shared by a first user to at least one second user.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the first microsite is shared by the first user on at least one social network.

15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the first user is associated with the first microsite on the server.

16 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the share analysis information includes at least one of a time and date that the microsite is shared, a type of medium through which the microsite is shared, contact information of the first user who shares the microsite, contact information of the at least one second user who receives the microsite and a message provided by the first user who shares the microsite to the at least one second user.

17 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
storing, by the server, the share analysis information for the first microsite in a database.

18 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
providing, by the server, at least a portion of the share analysis information for the first microsite to at least one of the first user and the second user.

19 . A method for adaptive distribution of information, the method comprising:
storing, by a server, microsite information for a first microsite; determining, by the server, a platform of a device for reproducing the first microsite; generating, by the server, the first microsite based on the platform of the device, wherein the first microsite is associated with a unique identifier identifying the first microsite, wherein the first microsite is associated with the same unique identifier for all platforms, and wherein the step of generating the first microsite based on the platform of the device includes providing at least one software application for performing a functional aspect of the first microsite by at accessing at least one of hardware and software of the platform of the device; and receiving, by the server, share analysis information if the first microsite is shared by a first user to at least one second user.

20 . A method for adaptive distribution of information, the method comprising:
storing, by a server, microsite information for a first microsite; determining, by the server, a platform of a device for reproducing the first microsite; generating, by the server, the first microsite based on the platform of the device, wherein the first microsite is associated with a unique identifier identifying the first microsite, and wherein the first microsite is associated with the same unique identifier for all platforms; receiving, by the server, share analysis information if the first microsite is shared by a first user to at least one second user; and providing, by the server, at least a portion of the share analysis information for the first microsite to at least one third user.
