Mobile device notifications

Abstract

Implementations for mobile device notifications are disclosed. In one implementation, a method for a mobile device is disclosed. The method includes outputting a first notification of an event at the mobile device responsive to occurrence of the event. The method further includes discontinuing the first notification after a period of time. The method further includes receiving an indication of motion of the mobile device via a motion sensor of the mobile device after discontinuing the first notification. The method further includes outputting a second notification of the event at the mobile device after discontinuing the first notification responsive to receiving the indication of motion of the mobile device.

1 . A method for a mobile device, comprising:
 outputting a first notification of an event at the mobile device responsive to occurrence of the event;   discontinuing output of the first notification after a period of time;   receiving an indication of motion of the mobile device via a motion sensor of the mobile device after discontinuing output of the first notification;   displaying a second notification as a description or summary of the event at the mobile device, after discontinuing output of the first notification, responsive to receiving the indication of motion of the mobile device;   discontinuing display of the second notification after a period of time; and   after discontinuing display of the second notification, avoiding output of additional re-notifications of the event responsive to receiving further indication of motion of the mobile device while displaying the second notification or within a threshold period of time after displaying the second notification.   
     
     
         2 . A mobile device, comprising:
 a processor;   a motion sensor;   a graphical display; and   a storage device having computer readable instructions stored thereon, executable by the processor to:
 output a first notification of an event at the mobile device responsive to occurrence of the event; 
 discontinue output of the first notification after a period of time; 
 receive an indication of motion of the mobile device via the motion sensor of the mobile device after discontinuing output of the first notification; 
 display a second notification via the graphical display as a description or summary of the event at the mobile device, after discontinuing output of the first notification, responsive to receiving the indication of motion of the mobile device; 
 discontinue display of the second notification after a period of time; and 
 after discontinuing display of the second notification, avoid output of additional re-notifications of the event responsive to receiving further indication of motion of the mobile device while displaying the second notification or within a threshold period of time after displaying the second notification.
