Abstract
The invention relates to a textile item of clothing equipped for ballistic protection. The textile item of clothing comprises a knitted fabric. Said knitted fabric has a plurality of differently protected zones. At least two different zones are interconnected without a seam. According to the invention, at least one first to zone is formed from a yarn that inhibits the penetration of fragments.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A textile item of clothing with ballistic protection comprising:
an item of clothing having at least one knitted fabric, which forms a plurality of differently protected zones and wherein at least two of the differently protected zones are connected seamlessly to one another and at least one first zone is formed from a yarn which inhibits the penetration of fragments.
2 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 wherein the textile item of clothing is a knitted fabric.
3 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 wherein the textile item of clothing has at least one knitted fabric and at least one woven fabric, which is connected to the knitted fabric.
4 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 wherein the differently projected zones are integrated with one another.
5 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 further comprising:
a second differently protected zone which provides a higher level of ballistic protection than the first protected zone.
6 . The textile item of clothing of claim 5 wherein the second differently protected zone is formed from a yarn which inhibits the penetration of fragments, and wherein the yarn is coarser and has a mass per unit area that is higher and has a closer weave than the yarn in the first protected zones.
7 . The textile item of clothing of claim 5 wherein the first protected zone has a single-layered design and the second differently protected zone has a two-layered design.
8 . The textile item of clothing of claim 5 wherein the second differently protected zone is a spacer knit fabric.
9 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 wherein the yarn which inhibits the penetration of fragments is, a UHMWPE (ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene) or aramid or Vectran®.
10 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 , further comprising:
a further protected zone having an elastic yarn.
11 . The textile item of clothing of claim 10 wherein the further protected zone is of flame-retardant and/or breathable design.
12 . The textile item of clothing of claim 10 further comprising:
a yarn in the further protected zone which inhibits the penetration of fragments.
13 . The textile item of clothing of claim 10 further comprising: a covered yarn in the further protected zone which has a core which is made of the elastic yarn and has the yarn which inhibits the penetration of fragments wound around it.
14 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 further comprising:
bands which are connected seamlessly to adjacent differently protected zones.
15 . The textile item of clothing of claim 5 wherein the first protected zone and the second differently protected zone form at least that part of the textile item of clothing which, when the textile item of clothing is being worn correctly, at least partially covers at least one of the regions of a human body selected from,
internal organs,
liver, kidneys, bladder, digestive organs, spleen,
abdomen, urinary tract,
aorta, venous system,
perineum, anal region, and
inner thigh region.
16 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 wherein the item of clothing is in the form of underwear, underpants, a vest, T-shirt, head covering, headscarf, scarf, tubular scarf, balaclava, bra, sock, knee sock, glove, inner glove, shirt or long-sleeved shirt.
17 . The textile item of claim 1 wherein in the case of the textile item of clothing being designed in the form of a vest or of a T-shirt, a harness is incorporated into and, preferably knitted into the same.
18 . The textile item of clothing of claim 17 wherein the harness is guided from a wearer's back portion over the wearer's chest portion and from the back portion underneath the wearer's armpits up to the wearer's shoulders and, at the back portion, around the wearer's neck, when the vest or the T-shirt is being worn correctly.
19 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 wherein, in the case of the textile item of clothing being designed in the form of a head covering, scarf, headscarf, tubular scarf or balaclava, provision is made for, in an upper head region, to form a further protected zone in the form of a net-like elastic knitted fabric, and wherein, when the head covering, the scarf, the headscarf, the tubular scarf or the balaclava is being worn correctly, the upper head region fits against an upper region of a wearer's head, which extends upwards and all the way round from a lower region of the wearer's forehead.
20 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 wherein individual protected zones have an outer side, which is knitted from a different material to that of an inner side thereof.
21 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 further comprising:
a seam in order for the knitted textile item of clothing to be formed into a textile body which is closed all the way round, in particular in the form of an item of underwear, of underpants, of a vest, of a T-shirt, of a head covering, of a headscarf, of a scarf, of a tubular scarf, of a balaclava, of a torso part, of a long-sleeved shirt, of a bra, of a sock, of a knee sock, of a glove, of an inner glove, of a shirt or of a long-sleeved shirt.
22 . The textile item of clothing of claim 1 , and wherein the textile item of clothing with ballistic protection is in the form of a glove, inner glove, sock, knee sock or bra all with ballistic protection, wherein the glove, the inner glove, the sock, the knee sock or the bra has at least one knitted fabric, and wherein at least one first protected zone of the knitted fabric is formed from a yarn which inhibits the penetration of fragments.
23 . The textile item of clothing of claim 22 , and wherein the glove, the inner glove, the sock, the knee sock or the bra is formed of a knitted fabric.
24 . A textile item of clothing with ballistic protection comprising:
a torso part and interconnected arm parts, and wherein the torso part is a knitted fabric and has at least one protected zone which is formed from a yarn which inhibits the penetration of fragments, and wherein the arm parts are formed from a woven material.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
