Gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover
Abstract
The modular boat lift cover for a watercraft comprises a gable assembly and an adjustable support structure. All of the straight components are packaged into the main box frame channels for simplicity in packaging as well as quality control, ensuring no components are missing during packaging and shipping. The box frame channels have sufficient bulk to store the gable components during transport. The modular boat lift cover system has a robust, lightweight design that is compatible and adjustable for width, height and length as the boat owner modifies his existing boat or purchases a new boat, and that will protect the watercraft from the elements and will withstand even the severest of storms, undamaged as well as having the ability to be cantilevered. The modular boat lift cover is easy for the user to assemble and adjust on square lake style boat lifts, and the typically non-square tidal lifts.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover, said gable assembly for covering said watercraft when said watercraft is secured to a deck assembly, said gable assembly having a truss type framework structure, said gable assembly being supportable by at least one cantilever, said at least one cantilever bracing said gable assembly when said gable assembly is secured to said deck assembly, said at least one cantilever enabling overhanging construction beyond said deck assembly.
2 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 1 , wherein said gable assembly is supportable by a single cantilever.
3 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 1 , wherein said gable assembly disassembled prior to transport and reassembled after transport.
4 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 1 , wherein an upper member of said gable assembly is one or more linear members when disassembled from said gable assembly and becomes one or more arcuate members when disposed in said gable assembly under stress.
5 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 1 , wherein an upper member of said gable assembly is one or more linear members when disassembled from said gable assembly and is one or more linear members when disposed in said gable assembly.
6 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 1 , wherein an upper member of said gable assembly is a linear member when disassembled from said gable assembly and becomes a linear member when disposed in said gable assembly.
7 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 1 , wherein said gable assembly is securely engageable with a canopy, said canopy protecting said watercraft from sun and hurricane-level winds when said watercraft is secured to said deck assembly.
8 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 1 , further comprising said gable assembly including box frame support members, said box frame support members serving as closable containers for transporting other component parts of said gable assembly during transport, said box frame support members being structural components of said gable assembly.
9 . A gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover, said gable assembly for covering said watercraft when said watercraft is secured to a deck assembly, said gable assembly having a truss-like configuration, said gable assembly being secured to said deck assembly;
whereby said gable assembly is supportable by only one cantilever, said only one cantilever enabling overhanging construction beyond said deck assembly.
10 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 9 , wherein said gable assembly is securely engageable with a canopy, said canopy protecting said watercraft from sun and hurricane-level winds when said watercraft is secured to said deck assembly.
11 . A gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover, said gable assembly for covering said watercraft when said watercraft is secured to a deck assembly, said gable assembly having a truss-like configuration, said gable assembly being supportable by only one cantilever, said only one cantilever bracing said gable assembly when said gable assembly is secured to said deck assembly, said only one cantilever enabling overhanging construction beyond said deck assembly.
12 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 11 , wherein said gable assembly is disassembled prior to transport and reassembled after transport.
13 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 11 , wherein an upper member of said gable assembly is one or more linear members when disassembled from said gable assembly and becomes one or more arcuate members when disposed in said gable assembly under stress.
14 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 11 , wherein an upper member of said gable assembly is one or more linear members when disassembled from said gable assembly and is one or more linear members when disposed in said gable assembly.
15 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 11 , wherein an upper member of said gable assembly is a linear member when disassembled from said gable assembly and becomes a linear member when disposed in said gable assembly.
16 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 11 , wherein said a canopy is attachable to said gable assembly.
17 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 11 , further comprising said gable assembly including box frame support members, said box frame support members serving as closable containers for transporting other component parts of said gable assembly during transport.
18 . The gable assembly for use with a modular watercraft lift cover of claim 11 , wherein said gable assembly is securely engageable with a canopy, said canopy protecting said watercraft from sun and hurricane-level winds when said watercraft is secured to said deck assembly.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
